HI Amanda! Your story has really touched me. I hope you and the girls had a magical day yesterday :)

I hope the extra special thing you planned for yesterday turned out. I also hope that being in Disney really helped.:flower3:

I just found this thread and my heart is with you and your family. I hope that all went as you would have wished on the anniversary of your husband's passing. What a wonderful place to celebrate his memory.

Just wanted to chime in and add my thoughts and prayers - what a wonderful way to commemorate his memory with your children. I look forward to hearing how your day at MK went. :goodvibes

I am sorry to hear about your loss. I am glad that you are pushing through it and honoring him in this way.

If you're looking for a special way to work through that day, may I suggest something that I and my son, then 3, started after my wife (his mom) died.

On the anniversary of her death or on her birthday, we would get a helium balloon and, with a prayer, let the balloon go, and travel up to her in heaven. Sometimes we attached a note, once I even tied a Christmas cookie he and I made --needed two or three balloons that year! Each time we sat and watched it for a long time, thinking of her, until we couldn't see it any more.

Anyway, the thought of sending one of those Mickey balloons up to heaven might be comforting.....

Peace,
TJ
