Just thought I would start a Live Wonder thread.

Got to the terminal about 11:30 from the Poly. Cked in at the resort, so through security and into line. Took some pics with Mickey and then the line started moving. I think we started boarding right about 12:00.

Had lunch at Parrot Cay and was great as usual. So much of a selection. Shrimp was wonderful.

Did all my stuff online, so not much to do after lunch. I did change my Palo ressies from Wed to Tues because our rotation is APPT. Didn't want to miss Tritons. No problem changing the ressie and Wavebands was empty when I went up to change it.

Getting kids into labs was so simple. Verified our info and I got my pager and we were off. We requested to move the 9 yo up to the 10-12 group and there was no problem. She will be 10 in a month. She felt more comfortable being with her brother. They ran off right after dinner (late seating).

Servers are Marvin and Engelburt (sp). Very nice and good service so far. Have no idea who our room steward is, haven't seen him/her at all.

Heavy rain right after sailaway and I can really feel the ship movement. Not really bad, but makes me a bit dizzy.

Well, that's it for now. Any questions, I will try to answer if I can.

Looking forward to a wonderful cruise.

Nina

How exciting!! You made my mouth water talking about the shrimp at Parrot Cay!

Have a great time and keep us posted!! And here's hoping for sun :sunny: and smooth sailing the rest of the trip!

Thanks for posting!

At the beginning of a cruise, our room steward would leave a card on the chest of drawers next to the closet, asking if we wanted ice. The steward would sign his or her name so we would know who it was.

We often saw our steward in the mornings in the hallways.

Is Golden Mickey's tonight?...or is there a variety show tonight?

I love live threads! Thanks so much for taking the time to post! Are you using the "hotspots" on the ship? Or the internet cafe?

There are so many threads about PN and it seems to me that DCL is constantly changing the night it's on. Can we get a LIVE report on which night it's on for this curise?

Here we are in Nassau. Rained a bit w/ big, loud thunder and incrediable lightning. We got off the ship around 12 PM and just walked around and did some shopping. Nassau seems much more "put together" than the last time we were here. Much cleaner. We were bombarded w/ ladies wanting to braid the kids hair. We just said, "No thank you." and moved on. Didn't feel the pressure.

Sitting in the Cove Cafe having my new discovery, Mint Mocha. Way yummy!!! Very nice, comfortable atmosphere.

All my kids are off at the various clubs and enjoying them. Pools are closed at the moment due to the lightning.

Pirate night is tomorrow, Castaway Cay day. Looking forward to that.

Last nights show was Hercules and tonight is Golden Mickeys. Some movies that are showing are, Herbie, Fully Loaded, National Treasure, Poohs' Heffalump Movie, Alot Like Love (I think that's the name). Can't remember any of the others.

Karen is the cruise director and the Captain Henry is steering the ship.

Looking forward to Castaway Cay tomorrow. Hoping for all day sunshine.

Off to find DH. More later (maybe)

Nina,

THANKS FOR THE LIVE UPDATES! Another topic that seems to get multiple answers is the current dinner rotation for the 4-night. If your on again, let us know your rotation. Thanks again for taking the time to post while on vacation :flower:

He mentions in the first post his rotation - APPT - so it looks like the 2nd and 3rd night are being repeated.

We sailed on our first Disney Cruise a few weeks ago. We had a fabulous time! :cheer2:

I'm sorry you've been having so much rain. :sad1: :umbrella:

But on the up side...you have the best dining rotation APPT. It's the same one we had. We feel it's the best one because you start the magic at Animator's Palate, then on Pirate Night at Parrot Cay and the last evening at Triton's! Perfect!

Mint Mochas...I might try it doing our next cruise. :drinking1

I hope you have a nice sunny day at Castaway Cay tomorrow and enjoy the rest of your cruise! :sunny:

Can't wait to read your next report... :wave2:

Lets see if I can answer some of the questions asked.

Our rotation is APPT, but dh and I will miss the 2nd night at Parrot Cay as we have Palo ressies. The kids will be there, so they should have fun evening.

Not sure if there is internet access in the room. We got the unlimited package on the ship for $39.99.

We left port right on time on Sunday, about 5:00 PM. Left Nassau at 7:30 PM tonight.

You can ck in at your resort if you have the land/sea package, other than that, you need to do your ck in at the port.

Dinner times are staggered, late is 8:00, 8:15, 8:30. Long lines that move fairly quickly.

Long day of shopping in Nassau, a glass of wine at dinner and a rocking boat is making me sleepy. I'll try to ck in tomorrow w/ a Castaway Cay report.

What was your experience with the internet cafe? Did you have to wait long for a terminal? :confused3

We used our laptop when we were on board. But I had a little problem with logging on and sending e-mails. :sad1:

It's great reading your "Live from" reports! :cheer2:

Enjoy yourself tomorrow @ CC!
