That must be my problem. I'll have to try at home tonight and see if that's better than my work computer. Thanks!
Yeah! I noticed that live365 started shutting down on me, too, in such a short amount of time. Very annoying!mking624 said:I used to listen to live365, but got tired with the constant interruptions in my strteam (I'm not talking about commercials). Plus, after about 10-15 minutes of play time, the radio would just shut itself off on me.
I now listen to subsonic radio...I LOVE that site. Plus, you can request audio & music to play as well...so I can listen to what I want to hear, too.
You don't have to join subsonic radio to listen to the music, but if you want to request anything, you do have to register. It's free to register though. Their requests work on a point system. You're given a certain number of points at registration (I think it's like 1800 points or something). Some pretty long requests (i.e. 40 minutes or longer) are a lot more than that, but if you post in their forums, you get 10 points for every post you make. I've never requested songs that require that many points though...the things I request are usually only a few minutes long so they wind up being a few hundred points. I don't usually request things a whole lot since I enjoy just listening to whatever is playing. But there are hundreds upon hundreds of things to request.disneyaggie said:Yeah! Tell me about subsonic radio. Do you have to join? I would love to hear more about it!

Edited to add: they have different streams you can listen to it with. There is 64k, 56k, and 24k. I always listen to the 24k and very rarely have stream interruption. There are no commercials...just a 5-10 second thing that comes on every 30 minutes that says something like "you are listening to subsonic radio".
Once I click on "Listen" on the Home Page, a box pops up that reads:mking624 said:You don't have to join subsonic radio to listen to the music, but if you want to request anything, you do have to register. I've never listened to it with WMP...I always listen to it with Winamp. See if this helps (I got it from their FAQ)...disneyaggie said:Once I click on "Listen" on the Home Page, a box pops up that reads:
"Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The file is either corrupt or the Player does not support the format you are trying to play."
Any suggestions?![]()

Thank you so much! I will try this!mking624 said:I've never listened to it with WMP...I always listen to it with Winamp. See if this helps (I got it from their FAQ)...
1) Open WMP
2) click on FILE
3) click "OPEN URL"
4) under the "open" section, type the URL for the file size you want. (http://216.176.96.16:8004 for 64k, http://216.176.96.16:8006 for 24k, 56k stream won't work)
5) click "OK"
6) stream will take a moment to connect to the server, then will automatically start to play....
Hopefully that will get you somewhere.
