live 365 radio

:rotfl: I have a 56K modem and dial up connection! :earseek: That must be my problem. I'll have to try at home tonight and see if that's better than my work computer. Thanks!

Yep, that's your problem. with a slower connection make sure you use a station that is running on a lower bandwidth also, even though, on 56K you are likely to get "chops".

"are ya aching? For some bacon. He's a big pig. You can be a big pig, too!"

I listen to it too, but my DD only wants to be called over when the Fantasmic song and "The Siamese Song" comes on because it's sang by "Lizzy McGuire and her little sister" (Hilary and Haley Duff).

When my no-so-DW troups down the hall towards the office, I haistily switch my Live365 station to a non-Disney station.... :rolleyes1

nope I am listening to it right now... what could be better than surfing on the DIS and listening to live 365??? :rotfl:

Another Mouse House lover here. Listen almost every day at work. Love Friday mornings for the WL tunes.

:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc I love listening while i'm cleaning the house...
Makes me realize all those long hours at work and cleaning on the weekends(when I would rather be enjoying myself) pay off when i'm spending the OT in Disney for my 2 week vacation every year!!! :cool1:

I used to listen to live365, but got tired with the constant interruptions in my strteam (I'm not talking about commercials). Plus, after about 10-15 minutes of play time, the radio would just shut itself off on me.

I now listen to subsonic radio...I LOVE that site. Plus, you can request audio & music to play as well...so I can listen to what I want to hear, too.

Yeah! I noticed that live365 started shutting down on me, too, in such a short amount of time. Very annoying!

Tell me about subsonic radio. Do you have to join? I would love to hear more about it!

Thanks! :flower:

You don't have to join subsonic radio to listen to the music, but if you want to request anything, you do have to register. It's free to register though. Their requests work on a point system. You're given a certain number of points at registration (I think it's like 1800 points or something). Some pretty long requests (i.e. 40 minutes or longer) are a lot more than that, but if you post in their forums, you get 10 points for every post you make. I've never requested songs that require that many points though...the things I request are usually only a few minutes long so they wind up being a few hundred points. I don't usually request things a whole lot since I enjoy just listening to whatever is playing. But there are hundreds upon hundreds of things to request.

Edited to add: they have different streams you can listen to it with. There is 64k, 56k, and 24k. I always listen to the 24k and very rarely have stream interruption. There are no commercials...just a 5-10 second thing that comes on every 30 minutes that says something like "you are listening to subsonic radio".

O.K. -- I must be doing something wrong -- HELP!

Would you step-by-step me through this? I went to the website (looks pretty cool!), and clicked on "Listen". My computer would not let me. A pop-up box came up that said something about corruption or something.

I went back to the Home page and just clicked on the 24k. Nothing.

HELP ! ! !

Thanks! :flower:

Once I click on "Listen" on the Home Page, a box pops up that reads:

"Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The file is either corrupt or the Player does not support the format you are trying to play."
Any suggestions? :confused3

Thanks! :flower:

I've never listened to it with WMP...I always listen to it with Winamp. See if this helps (I got it from their FAQ)...
1) Open WMP
2) click on FILE
3) click "OPEN URL"
4) under the "open" section, type the URL for the file size you want. (http://216.176.96.16:8004 for 64k, http://216.176.96.16:8006 for 24k, 56k stream won't work)
5) click "OK"
6) stream will take a moment to connect to the server, then will automatically start to play....

Hopefully that will get you somewhere.

I have popup blocker so it will not work.

I'll try at work.

I have Google pop up stopper at work and the free version of Pop-Up Stopper at home. Most PopUp blockers can be over ridden by holding down the "ctrl" key.

Does anyone know who did the updated pop version of "Beauty & the Beast" ?
:dancer: PM me if you want to hear the tune.

Every morning I would turn on the computer and listen to MouseWorld Radio. The rope drop and Main Street USA music would play. I'd love it. I turned it on the other day at 9:00 am as I always did and, Where did it go? I was so sad. Even still they don't play it. I guess I just have to wait 3 whole days until I am really there!!!! :sad2:
