liv luvs disney's 2nd TR attempt

Ignore the dates on the pictures. The piece that holds the battery in place on my camera is broken so it kept coming out and obviously, we were just putting in all kinds of dates.:confused3

A couple of pics that Gretchen thought were important as we walked around the park...

Gage wants so badly to one day stand against the stretchng wall, but is very midndful of rules. He tried to this trip, but was quick to obey the CM when she asked him to please step away from the wall. (Hey, Donnie or TCD, think you could help him out some day, since y'all are such rule breakers?:rotfl2:)

No trip to MK is complete without one of these:
100_2068.jpg

Yes, I made them share because we were going back to the camper to eat lunch. I knew Grammy would be upset if we were to full to eat.

Boiled shrimp is my favorite and you didn't invite me. Wow, I know where I stand now.

Well I wasn't going to post about this until later, but since you brought it up. Grammy made a boat load of fried shrimp on Friday because you were supposed to come by and see us. We didn't know you liked it boiled. However, you never showed.:snooty:

I'll post about Sunday's no show later.

:rotfl2:I love the cookie, now I know were my ds7 lost it, my ds 9 and ds 11 would have eaten it for free, I would have to pay them not to eat it.popcorn:: need more TR:yay:

I see what is going on here.

DaveInTN is off gallivanting around WDW, so Olivia thinks that it's OK to slack off.

Wait until Dave gets back!

Someone is going to be in trouble then.

Correct. Liv has exactly 27 hours until I hit my driveway back in TN....and then ALL H*LL is going to break loose if this TR isn't back on track. :rotfl:

In fact, my TR is going to have to wait until Liv wraps this up.

While on the PM, a friend of mine called me. I answered because I figured it was something of importance. She knew I was camping at Disney and would surely not be calling just to chat. I was actually a little nervous when I answered the phone, fearing the worst. She wanted to ask me for my bread recipe!?!?!?! WHAT?!?!?!:confused3:confused:

I've been following along via my iPod touch and not posting replies, but had to chime in....this bread recipe must be worth the interruption! Care to share?

We used to be a huge home-made bread kind of family but don't that much any more since our oldest was found to have Celiac disease. There are times though, when the cold weather sets in and I'll make it anyway.

He would have eaten it regardless of being paid. He recently turned 14 and thinks everything he does should involve a monetary reward.:rotfl2:

So, did KFK fix you up some shrimp during my hiatus?
Loving your TR!
Thanks. I still wish our time at the Fort would have overlapped.:sad1: Maybe next time!:)

Thank you. We'll have to check that out even though I rarely leaving the camping section.:thumbsup2

Sorry, we've celebrated birthdays and had a few nights of all-night sickness. Believe me, I would rather have been on here than cleaning up puke and taking temperatures!

Really no special recipe, it's just most families aren't used to homemade bread. My family gets excited when I buy store bread 'cause it's rare that they get it. I actually grind my own grain and it's truly from scratch. If you've never had it before, it's delicious. If it's what you eat everyday, you long for white bread in a plastic bag.:rotfl2:

I'm thinking I'll just post pictures and not narrate as much which should be next to impossible 'cause I love to talk!

I think I left off with us coming back to the camper for a little boiled shrimp.:lovestruc We did some looping on our bikes after that and then headed back over to MK later.

We actually just rode a few rides before it looked like the bottom was gonna fall out of the sky. It was dark and looked like a storm was coming in. Grammy called to tell us to get home. (Nothing like your Mama telling you what to do at 37.) Ironically, I had already told the kids that we might need to head back to the camper, not knowing if they would run the boats in bad weather or not. So we headed back and within an hour, it cleared up and not one drop of rain fell.:confused3

We finished up our evening with one of these
100_2100.jpg

and called it a day. I least I think we did.

On Tuesday, we went to AK and attended on of the YES programs. It was interesting and the kids had a good time. We were a little late and the older group left Gage behind and he had to hang with the younger crowd, but he was a good sport about it.

This was our guide leader, Mel, and she was GREAT with the kids! We all wore an earpiece that plugged into a radio-like clip. She spoke into a microphone so we could all hear her as we made our way around the park. She did lots of interactive things that blew me away. These kids knew their stuff regarding animals. My kids even answered a few questions that I thought - how did they know that?

Little G was so excited about this "rare opportunity." I didn't have the heart to tell her these are not real ostrich eggs; they've been lying there since our first visit as a familly in '06.

We've gone 48 hours with no fever or vomit, (ew, I hate that word) but tomorrow we'll be at church so there's no telling what Monday or Tuesday night may be like.:rolleyes1

I'm determined to get this whole day finished before I have to go pick up big G from a sleep over. Maybe it should have been called a stay over because I'm certain a half-dozen teenagers with a bunch of air soft guns, movies, and junk food did NOT sleep last night!

We usually eat breakfast at RFC outside of AK, but we had to be there quite early for our YES program so breakfast was a poptart on the bus. (Please don't tell MagicBus.)

We did eat a "snack" at RFC as we were leaving. Gage and I shared an appetizer while Gretchen ate a kid's chicken tenders meal. With tax and a tip, that litttle "snack" cost me $50. Somehow, we got out of there with no pictures of our eats. Sorry Dave.

As soon as we got back to the camper, the kids found something to watch on the t.v. while Grammy and I took a nap. Not too long after lying down, there was a knock at the door. It was our neighbor wanting the kids to see this:

I thought about wringing one's neck and having it for supper, but since I'm not a rule breaker, I decided not to.;) I don't remember what we had for supper that night, but like nearly every evening, it was followed by some sort of game.

Let me first introduce to you the infamous "GRAMMY!"
100_2163.jpg

She's something else. I'll just leave it at that.

She's always said that I'm the meanest white woman she knows. WHAT?!?!

100_2165.jpg

100_2169.jpg

I did eventually play, once they figured out the rules. As you already know, we're a family that abides by the rules. But until then, I was "resting."
100_2168.jpg

100_2166.jpg

100_2170.jpg

It was one of those "you had to be there" experiences, but let me just say, I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Gretchen took some videos, but I'll dare not post them just in case Grammy is lurking. She would definitely kill me!!!!!
