Anyone know any secrets to getting the newer ones without paying too much- everytime we go to the store and look for them all it is is the older ones and we live pretty far from the stores so we can't go that often. It kinda frustrates me that grown ups purchase them all to make a profit on ebay so that poor children can't buy them to play with unless there parents have a ton of money to spend.

just keep looking, I know not the answer you want, but my girls ADORE littlest pet shop, but I refuse to pay an outrageous price for it. I have been stalking the hasbro website, for the new stuff to be back in stock, once some of it goes out of stock, it can sell out within hours. I have even called hasbro a few times to complain, seems like they just need to make more of it to me. I know there last release, that included the seahorse, they seemed to have more out at the stores, I have not had a problem finding stuff. (It just takes some picking through, and a few trips to get it). There is now new stuff on the website (my girls are really wanting the spider), I have just been checking there website everyday, and seeing if it comes up there. Keep trying, really, that is the best way to get it.....which gets so frustrating!

Hasbro Toy Shop online has LPS with 2 figures for $3.99 But they are notorious for backordered items.

I ordered in early August when the Seahorse, Horse and Toucan first showed up on their site. When I ordered I thought it was in stock. Wrong. They were sold out, yet allowed me to order. It took 6 weeks for them to arrive, and by that time my local Target already had them on the shelf.

I ordered the newest ones from Hasbro Toy Shop on 9/27. Chinchilla, Squirrel, etc. Once again it showed as in stock when I purchased. Then I waited. On 10/5 I called Hasbro to ask why my order hadn't shipped. I was told it's all on backorder. I "might" get them by Halloween. I was told either I could cancel or just sit back and wait for my order to arrive. There was no reason to contact them via phone about this order again. :confused3 I only called once.

Thanks I've been checking the website daily with no luck. I knew when the new ones would be coming out and got on the website first thing in the morning and they were gone already, it is so frustrating. If people weren't buying them to resell to make a profit they wouldn't be so hard to get that is what makes me the most annoyed. Me and my sisters are on a watch for them and we check every time we're in the store, no luck yet on any of the new ones. O'well I'll get them eventually.

Yesterday my Walmart had many new sets for $4.44. They must have just gotten them in as the whole endcap was full. Funny though, they put them on an endcap next to a wall, not where they would be seen easily.

They had the seahorse, horse and bird, frog prince with a bug (?), butterfly with a catapillar(?), a boy/girl monkey set, and many new kitties and puppies, some with 'real' hair. I wanted to buy them all! So cute!

My DD just recently got into Littlest Pet Shop and asked for some for christmas. I had only ever seem the small sets with 2 or 3 pets in them. I was at KMart last month and found a carrying case with 16 pets in it for $14.00. That was perfect. Also bought the Playhouse. She's going to love it.

DD8 is nuts about these. I saw the really big house/playset with 8 or 9 animals in it at Sam's club. DD then called me over to see a tv ad showing the same set. Back to Sam's club! I think it was around $35-39.

DD11 loves LPS, DD6 just started enjoying them this summer. Her favorite was the white dog w/2 pink bows. Last wk she accidently lost the body in the toiletbowl (don't ask :bitelip: ). She was very upset, I told her I would replace it.
I have been to all our local Target, Walmart, and TRU, I can't find the thing anywhere, they did have it on the Hasbro web site but it was sold out.
Does anyone know where else I can find one? She now believes that Santa will bring it to her because that's all she wants for Christmas. I'm in big trouble. :sad2:
Also does anyone have a code for Hasbro website? I would like to purchase a couple of other LPS for my DD11. I love the fact that at 11 she still loves to play w/toys. :cool1:

I don't have the answer for your problem but I wanted to let you know that Kohls has the cutest Littlest Pet Shop game. It is in a metal box and has 4 animals with bobbing heads that I guess are the playing pieces.
My 8 yr old neice loved the LPS last year and I bought her the big set and some of the smaller toys but I am not sure if she is into those this year. guess I should ask Peggie

DD8 recently started collecting LPS, and it's pretty much all she asked for for Christmas & birthday (a week apart). She likes the more unique pets the most.

I was feeling pleased that I'd finally managed to track down what I thought were the newest ones - toucan, seahorse, etc. - when someone posted the Hasbro sale, and I saw the out of stock spider, chinchila, orange fish, squirrel, and snail. DD isn't aware that they exist, but now I must track them down for her. :)

I ended up placing 3 orders from Hasbro on 10/5 (mostly items I had already purchased, but can return since I got them cheaper), but the orders haven't shipped yet.

ETA: the chinchila is now in stock, but I couldn't bring myself to pay shipping.

When DD8 received her LP playset for her birthday I thought she might be too old for it. From the posts it looks like she's the perfect age. Oh, and she loves it!

My 3 dd's (11,9,8) play with their lp's all the time ----and they did name all of them, they must have 100 by now.......i look in most every store i"m in if it has a toy section------found a rare one at an acme once.......so don't just shop the toy stores.....good luck!

I was just on Ebay and had to laugh. The ferret with the pink leash was going for $16 plus $7 shipping. I just bought the ferret at our local Family Dollar for $2. All the Ebay sales said it was Very Rare. Family Dollar had a box of about 50 of the ferret. :rotfl2:

These were on sale last week for B1G1 free at TRU. I almost bought my dd a bunch of sets for the holidays....kinda wish I did now, but the buying had to stop somewhere! LOL

I noticed our TRU didn't have any of the new ones out and had put the Big Littlest Pet Shop away so people wouldn't do it for the B1G1.

I missed that sale. A couple weeks ago they had B2G1, so I made a special trip (it's an hour away).

oh man - placed an order this a.m. and the chinchilla was not available then!!!!!

Just checked, and it's out of stock again.

I had 5 different sets in my cart this afternoon, and they're all out of stock now.

This is a problem with other toys from Hasbro, as well -- like the Star Wars figures. My kids look for certain ones and they are NEVER in stock! My DS7 asked one of the sales people at Target how come they never have the figures that are shown on the back of th packages. He said they get very few of them, but will get hundreds of other ones. He said that the collectors and ebayers show up on Tuesday mornings when they open and practically race to the toy isle to search and buy the new or hard to find LPS, Star Wars, Hot Wheels etc., that come in. The store restocks on Monday nights and all of the ebayers know it, so they wait outside for the store to open the next morning.

My DD10 has to check every store we go to for LPS stuff. When she does find something that is rare, she starts hypervenilating because she's so excited! I bought her 3 of the $9.99 sets from the TRU B2G1 free sale a couple of weeks ago. I also picked up 3 of the huge houses. I easily found 2 moms who were interested in splitting the price 3 ways since one of them was free. We ended up paying $32 each including taxes. These will be Christmas gifts. She is 10 1/2 but still loves LPS stuff!!! Those are about the only toys she still play with.
