Good morning, Disneyland family. On our last trip to WDW, the wife and I made a point to take time to photograph little things at WDW that we enjoyed. We took pictures of all the interesting signs over attractions and restaurants like the Cheshire Cat. On our final day, we're not going to focus on rides, though we'll do some favorites. We'll have a more relaxed day and take in Disneyland in a fashion we don't normally get to do as we typically do 3 days. What are some similar things we should focus on when we go to DLR in 2 weeks?

One I've already thought of is getting photographs of the little characters at each popcorn stand like the Yeti churning the popcorn by the Matterhorn. What are some other things like this we should look to take pictures of?

Over the years these are the little things I look out for, I dont take photos all the time, but I stop and pause.

Main Street
The lamp posts
The brick wall
The half red half white light bulb at Coke Corner
The fire station and Walts apartment
The shop windows

Frontierland
The petrified tree

Adventureland
The Little Man of Adventurelands House
The Dominguez Tree

New Orleans Square
Club 33
21 Royal
The Ships Sail on the top of the buildings

Tomorrowland
People Mover bridge
The seating area at the lagoon / behind Edelweiss Snacks

Fantasyland
The little huts at Casey Junior, Storybook land and Alices Adventure
The Evil Queen above Snow White ride

Here are a few of mine.
Main Street
Walt's bench
The shop plaques on the doors
The de-limbed tree thing my friend calls "Minnie's Stripper Pole" (I think it's a hitching post). It has its own FB following. It's across from the Candy Palace.

Frontierland
The Ray Bradbury Halloween Tree (by Golden Horseshoe). Obviously more interesting during Halloween season.
Remnants of the old Mine Train ride

Adventureland
The upside down orange trees in the Jungle Cruise ride

New Orleans Square
Sketch artists at work
The big yellow and blue stained-glass doors at Club 33
The exterior views of HM

Tomorrowland
The giant stone "waterball" sculpture near Space Mt
Views of the lagoon from the monorail

Fantasyland
Love to take pics of the teacup lanterns as you're looking up at them from the ride
Jingles the horse on the carousel

One year I went around taking all sort of cool pictures of light fixtures throughout the park. Ceilings also offer some great shots.

Have fun!!

You can get some good pics on Tom Sawyer Island. If you go left after you get off the raft, you can get some good shots of the bottom of the Splash chute with the logs and the splash. And over on the BTMRR side, maybe up by the swaying bridge, you can get some of the top of the castle and Matterhorn.

If you ride the Columbia, go up on the 3rd level and there are great shots of NOS, HM and Splash.

Ohhhhh…I’m all about the small details. In fact, on Weds when I go for my Dland visit I will probably just spend time finding more beautiful details.

Here are a few of my favs:

Fantasyland Weather Vanes – Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride has a Mr. Toad weather vane, and Peter Pan’s Flight has a Tic-Toc-Croc weather vane.

Evil Queen – Above Snow White’s Scary Adventures, there’s a small window that opens now and then to reveal the Evil Queen peering over guests. Most people miss this small detail because it’s brief, discreet, and above their sight lines

Working Disneyland mailboxes throughout the resort. They are a fun detail to photograph!

The hidden fortune tellers. The not so hidden Esmeralda on Main Street and then there is Fortune Red in NOS.

Visit Snow White’s Grotto with all of the wonderful figurines and it has many great photo angles of the castle and surrounding area.

Have a great trip! 🏰 🍭
