Has anyone seen the little plastic PVC disney figures at DLR recently? I know they have the sets where you get several in the same box but I'm wondering if anyone has seen the individual ones for sale.

im not sure if you and me are thinking of the same ones. are these the small figuers you trade in the store with cm?
if so i belive so. im supose to look at starting our collection this oct when we are there

Hmmm... I'm not sure. I don't know anything about trading them with cm. I know they used to sell them at the disney store way back when.

We got a Nightmare Before Christmas set of figures last trip. It has Oogie, the trick or treaters, Sally, Zero, and Jack. They all came in a box. Is that what you mean?

MIL has little princesses all over her computer room, I think she found them individually at the Disney store. I can ask her.

Also, they had little mystery packs of tiny figures, but I assume you are thinking of something for DS? Better run to the Disney store to check! ;)

Yeah, those are the type i was thinking about but I wanted to get some individual ones and not necessarily a set. My friend, who seems to know all things disney, says they don't sell them at the Disney store anymore but maybe he's wrong? He also scoped out the World of Disney store for me last week and said he only saw the sets and no individual figures but I thought i would ask here to see if anyone else has seen them.

Yes, they are for DS. I want to get them as part of his pre-Disneyland Disney education since I think he would enjoy DLR more if he knew some of the characters.

the tiny figuers are what im talking about, also some plastic little dark vader my son got there were alot of little ones of those size all over the parks wonder if thats what you mean its like his fav action figuer toy lol

I don't recall seeing them but I wasn't looking. What characters did you want? Maybe you could get a pack of "main" characters. Sounds like a good Bday present. I can check the store next time I go. Come to think of it, I have a bunch from years ago. Wonder where they went?

I was thinking of getting the box with Mickey, Minnie, etc to cover the "basics" then i was thinking maybe Buzz, Peter Pan, or others where there is a ride or attraction about them. So, for example, i want to get Buzz but I don't want a box with all the toy story characters.

I plan on making a trip to DTD the week after his birthday to look in World of Disney to see for myself what is there. Also thinking about picking up some post cards for him to look at and get familiar with the castle, etc.

I remember when they used to have individual bins filled with PVC figurines all over the DL shops. For the most part, they seem to have been replaced with all those boxed sets they sell now. Kind of unfortunate when all you really want is one particular character. :headache:
