Little or No Christmas Gifts

For the holidays before we go on vacation my parents give us little things to use during our trip (or if its a surprise, hints) even if we arent going until the summer.

I love this idea!!! We're taking a family trip next spring and I was already planning on making vacation packs for each of them with things they need but they know about the trip so its not a surprise. But I love your idea for the future - we're expecting our first child this fall so it'll be a few years but I think it is so great to do things as a family. This will be the first year that I plan on imposing a money limit for each family which is something my mom has done. I usually go overboard and don't keep very good track so I think with our new one on the way this will be good for me in the future!
