Little Mermaid went to Genie+ and LL

My friend just rode Little Mermaid today - he just called me. -- it is on Genie+ and LL and on the App now as well. The entrance will be at the other side of the attraction and they are making some modifications now. Just an FYI. LM did not need Genie+ and LL but it is now a reality. 20 minute wait now he said. He walked on 5 minute wait. Genie hit sometime yesterday 11/15 and for the first full day 11/16.

Oh, I've seen it busy, but it is a fast moving line. It really didn't need LL entry.

It's not that common. One time I got in line, and it didn't seem that bad, but they had started pulling poeple into the switchbacks outside, and it was very crowded so I ducked a rope and went elsewhere. This was a particularly busy/crazy day overall though. I do not think that adding LL is going to help that.

This a guess based on absolute pure speculation. They may have added Little Mermaid to the Genie+ system for people from out of town who do not visit boards like this or do large amounts of advance planning. It makes Genie+ look better and more desirable because there are a larger number of attractions that are included with the Genie+ system.

I think I've only had to actually make a line once. One time we literally just walked onto the shell. (Which was great cause I just love that Ursula animatronic)

THIS. I think it's just a way for Disney to add "value" to Genie+ (for the uninformed, along the lines of Kit's comment above), without Disney having to actually *DO* anything to add real value lol.

It actually was on G+/LL yesterday and the line was moved yesterday also (we were there). I'm not sure the point since the wait is usually never more than 20 minutes.

I'm surprised they added LL. I don't think I've ever waited more than 10 minutes for Little Mermaid. It's usually a virtual walk on. I wonder why they moved the entrance. I liked walking under those fancy arches.

Physical space issues with PP, perhaps? Where could you put a separate line there?

Probably two things:

1. It's a people eater as a line. For the space it has, it is probably the only Fantasyland rides that has that amount of popularity. So it's a good place to keep ppl for an hour.
2. It's in DLR. DLR has so many LLs already, but DCA doesn't have as many rides and it might be an attempt to get families with lil kids at DCA to buy Genie+.

That said, I would love a LL for Peter Pan but knowing Disney it would be a LL+.

Just fair warning - that fast moving line? Not so much in WDW. The G+ line gets so much priority that it just crawls there. Agreed - it is not needed.
