Little Mermaid rooms and free dining

So during which period were the Little Mermaid rooms offered for free dining this year. The first free dining period or the fall one?

I got a Little Mermaid room with free dining in the first released free dining. I think it was back in April or May....I can't remember. I am going Sept. 29th to Oct. 6th. Sept. 29th was the last day of free dining dates at the time. HTH

For the fall free dining the Mermaid rooms are not included - the following is from the Disney Free Dining offer:

Discount is not valid at campsites, 3-bedroom villas or the Little Mermaid Standard View rooms at Disney's Art of Animation resort.

I booked through a travel agent and got the free dining for the fall too in AoA Little Mermaid Room. I am going Sept 15-22. I think I booked around Mid May and got the plus dining (including one table service, one quick serve and a snack.)

So what was the difference between the two offerings?

We were really wanting to stay there in Feb the 7th-13th the week before Mardi Gras, when they have had free dining in the past, but since I saw that the Little Mermaid rooms were left out of the offer we changed to All Star Movies-

Anyone have any idea if they will be included the next time they offer FD? If they happen to extend into Feb?

I have FD in LM from Dec 10-14. I am arriving on 8th so i have a split stay hopefully in same room

As far as I know, this is how it has gone down...

People were able to book a LM room with FD via certain PIN codes.

When the Aug/Sept or "late summer" (not to be confused with "fall" which is Oct-Dec) FD release initially came out, the LM rooms were NOT included as they were not supposed to be open until Dec. Once Disney realized they would be opening on Sept. 15, they included them in the late summer FD offer.

They were never, and still are not, part of the current fall FD offer.

I booked an LM room with a free dinning pin that expires July 28. I got a mailer a few months ago. We're staying 6 nights in November.

YIKES.... I booked a split stay AoA/CBR in order to get the non QS free dining as it wasn't offered at AoA but I did get a pin in the mail awhile back and I just checked it tonight and it does include the LM suites.

Now i'm debating... I can do AoA LM and upgrade the dining plan for just $25 less then my CBR... but we wouldn't have to change resorts and it is a new resort... decisions...!!!

Yes sorry my Dec dates were with a pin not the Fall FD. I udgraded my from QS and paid the difference to DDP because we are doing too many character meals!!! I love it . Its just me and my son going so it wasn't too much to upgrade.

I'd try to avoid the split if u can. Why repack and unpack in the middle of holidays if it can be avoided? It's at least worth a call to find out why they can do for u. Either way ... you'll have a great time!

That makes sense because I didn't get a pin code and booked in May. (so yes late summer offer) I just happened to notice last date of FD was same day Mermaid rooms opened ... and a flight for me was a good price. It was a "perfect storm" of sorts for me... everything coming together at the right time. why isn't life always like that
Anyway... super excited... can't wait!
