I know the line for Star Tours was pretty insane yesterday. I thought I'd share what was going on across the esplanade at The Little Mermaid Ariels Undersea Adventure. I entered DCA via the GCH entrance at 10:30 and was immediately met by this fish out of water. He informed me that this is where the line started: OMG!

Then the line snaked down past the ride down in front of corn dog castle

And jumped across the walkway and filled the World of Color viewing area

:scared1: I was wondering where they were going to put those people, seeing as the queue at LM when I went on it didn't seem that it could accommodate many people at all. I was thinking about going yesterday not to ride the rides, but to just see how crazy and chaotic it was  I would've grabbed a root beer float from the ice cream shack near CA screamin' and sat down on a bench to witness the madness.

Omg!! I guess the only way to ride it would be get in line way before park opening and rush on over. Hopefully later in summer it won't be so intense. I bet the line for TSMM was nonexistent!

TSMM was still 45... Maybe people didn't was to wait 3 hours for LM and decided it the next best thing!

No ride is worth a 3 hour wait. Ack! We'll try first thing in the morning, or else just skip it.

I totally agree that no ride is worth 3 hours.....but if it's any consolation, the thread on Star Tours claims that the line was over 5 hours long.

Think about that a moment. You have enough folks in the park to form a line that will go for 5 hours....and another line for 3 hours. Can you IMAGINE what happens in the evening when the line has gone down but all those people are wandering around (or standing practically still TRYING to wander around).

Please Lord (or Disney Management, whichever has more power, lol) please please make the lines go to something reasonable by September. I have a Star Wars loving daughter AND an Ariel loving daughter....I do NOT NOT NOT NOT want to stand in line for 8 hours to ride two rides. Stomping foot, no no no.

Help me Obi-Wan you're my only hope. (Yep, I'm more of a Star Wars fan than Little Mermaid, but I'm a good loving mom first so I see lines in my future).

I'll guarantee you that about 90% of those people were all locals with SoCal or SoCal Select APs.

Unfortunately, for you, September is when the block outs end for that level of AP. After a summer of being blocked out of the park and just one day of those attractions being open before they were blocked out, September is going to be crazy long lines for those attractions. If I were you, I would make sure that a Saturday is in your schedule (all but one AP level is blocked on Saturdays).

Thank you for those illuminating if not eye opening (More like eyes falling out of their sockets and chin dropping) images and information C D. :faint: Are there no fast passes for these rides yet? I take it no? Wait times like that are just down right scarier than a great Halloween ghostie tale! No way would I ever wait in a 3, much less 5 hour long line. Only if lunch is served if anything. And a nice commemorative pin given along with said lunch.

Well, the Southern California Select didn't even get yesterday, but they do have 4 weekdays this month to cram it in, lol. The Southern California has quite a few weekdays in June, but yeah, how many actually go when it's hot and busy.

I'm hoping they all race there early in the month of September, lol....we're going mid-Sept through early October so we will have three Saturdays with no locals. Also, wanted to point out that although both S.CA APs are blocked, the Deluxe AP is only blocked on Labor Day weekend....the rest of the Saturdays we can go, whew. Your post originally had me scrambling, since you said "all but one" but actually the Premium of course has zero block outs, and the Deluxe only has Labor Day Weekend and then nothing until Thanksgiving.

I stand corrected. I was trying to go off memory other than actually looking it up.:guilty:

Either way, Saturday is your day.:wizard:

Wow! It looks like when we go in July, we should run to Star Tours right away to get FP, then use our resort hotel special FP for Little Mermaid! Yikes! I didn't even see it that bad for Nemo or TSMM!

Anyone know how long the wait is using the Special Fast Pass Line for DLR Hotel Guests?

I would love to know the answer to this, too. We will be there in less than two weeks and are planning to use our FP for this ride or Star Tours.

Hear hear! Or a one hour wait for me lol! I do not know why they do not put fp on these new rides. TSMM, LM, and ST should all have them. I cannot imagine the complaints that customer service is getting in regards to line times.

I just checked MouseWait...only a 6 minute wait right now. Who's going?! :rotfl: Too bad I cannot get there in time.

We rode LM twice between 5-5:30pm tonight. When we went by at 7pm it was a 5 min. wait. It loads very quickly. I was happy because I have an Ariel loving little girl!!;)

We went straight back to Little Mermaid at opening this morning and it appeared to be a walk on for resort guests, at least before the regular line started loading.

We were fairly close to the front of the regular line, although we were NOT part of the "must run anyone and everyone in the way over to be first in line" group... :rolleyes1 and it only took us about 10 minutes to load once the line started moving. It's a very fast moving line. :thumbsup2

We rode The Little Mermaid twice today (June 4). The first time, the posted wait time was 30 minutes (at approx. 1:30pm), and we were on the ride in 22 minutes. The second time, the posted wait time was 20 minutes (at approx. 5pm) and we were on the ride in 15 minutes.

Today, all APs, except Premium, were blocked out. But it was a Saturday and opening weekend! For those going later in the summer or even coming later in the year, I wouldn't worry too much about super long lines for The Little Mermaid. It has super-high capacity and the clamshells load quickly, that the line keeps moving. And I think the word is getting out that it's not a e-ticket attraction, but more like a souped up Fantasyland dark ride. For a 20 or 30 minute wait, we enjoyed it quite a bit!

We were there a few days ago and rode on the AP preview. The sign posted said 60 minutes and I even questioned the cast member to ask if it was accurate and he assured me it was. We were on in 30 minutes!
