El Capitan is right on Hollywood Blvd. and is a beautiful Old Hollywood theater. They have an organ player before the shows and special activities to go with the films.

This time you get a free sing along with the movie and on weekends they are offering a Character Breakfast with your movie.

We have done events at the theater and it has always been great. And after the movie make sure to go get your ice cream from the Disney Soda Fountain next door.

How far is the El Capitan from Disneyland? I'm going to be at DL from 5/17-5/21 and was hoping to take a trip there one night to see Prince Caspian.

I have been thinking about making plans to take my daughter there, she would be so excited. Although it looks like the character breakfast is pretty much booked up. I love the El Capitan. I remember seeing Disney's Hercules there when it first came out in '97.

Wondering if VIP is worth the extra money? Are floor or balcony seats better?

I always do VIP since you get all your snacks and you don't have to wait to be seated. We didn't get in on time and got non-VIP the last time we went and they gave us pretty mediocre seats. Personally I prefer the floor, but the front rows of the balcony are also nice.
