Little help with timing

So DW and I are heading to WDW for a short second honeymoon June 27-30. We'll be without the kids for the first time in 10 years and were hoping to do more of the nighttime stuff. I'm looking for advice on which night to try going over to see the new Rivers of Light show. Here's our plan:

6/27 early am flight arriving in MCO around 930am - 12:20 lunch @ SciFi, 6:15 dinner at Hollywood Brown Derby.
6/28 - 8:30am Keys to the Kingdom Tour, 7:40pm dinner at California Grill
6/29 - 11:30am lunch at Tutto Italia, 6:35 dinner at Restaurant Marrakesh
6/30 - 12pm lunch at Tusker house, 9pm flight home

Our flight time on the 30th means that DME will likely pick us up at 6pm, so the 30th is kind of out. Which of the other three days do folks think would be the best to try getting over to DAK after dinner for RoL?

Could you switch your Epcot and AK days, skipping Illuminations in favor of ROL?

Details on RoL are fairly scarce, but looks like your best bet is 6/29 after dinner at Marrakesh. Timing might be a little tight but you can finish dinner, walk to Beach Club and bus to AK, and hopefully catch the show. The earliest they can run it would be 9:00pm, and it may be later than that so once more details come out you could plan better.

"Skip Illuminations in favor of ROL?"
Perfectly willing to do this part, but...

"Could you switch your Epcot and AK days"
Kind of hard to do this part.

Mainly it's about dining. DAK only has three TS restaurants (Y&Y, Rainforest Café, Tusker House). DW won't go back to Y&Y after a bad experience, and neither of us are interested in going to RC when we can get one just down the road and spend less money. We do have hoppers. Just wondering I guess if anyone knows about how long it'll take us to get through dinner and take park transport to DAK.

Another option if you wanted to switch your EC/AK days would be a short bus trip to AKL to eat at Sanaa or Jiko. They are both excellent.

I understand. The thought of doing dinner at Epcot and trying to make it over to AKL for ROL stresses me out. It's probably possible, but especially during peak season it's not the kind of rushing and stress I would want on a second honeymoon. I find it hard to imagine a scenario that gets you to AK before 8:45.

I would switch the two days, get a ROL dining package through Tusker House, and as @disBEAST suggests have dinner at Jiko or Sanaa (or Boma for that matter). Consider doing breakfast instead of lunch at TH - you could have breakfast and then do dinner a little bit earlier, allowing you time to get back into AK and settled into a good spot for ROL. Like I said, in a second honeymoon situation I think minimizing the rush and taking things at a leisurely pace would be paramount.

At this point I've heard from a CM (based on the info on the CM website) that the dining packages are looking like dinner only....not sure if that is permanent or wrong, but be prepared for not being able to book the ROL dining package for breakfast or lunch.

Good to know. I haven't been following the thread on the topic, and the first messages there indicated that breakfast was an option. There must have been new developments since I stopped following the thread.

Yes, I am really hoping what we originally saw is correct or else the dinner only is just a test for the beginning roll out!

Maybe there were simply too many guests if they included breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's really hard to say at this point. I'm sure that as the weeks go on we'll get answers to these questions we're all speculating about. :)

Yes, maybe so....or the restaurants were already fairly booked. Maybe going further, with more availability, they will expand it.

We have a breakfast ADR for Tusker...just not interested in the menu for the other meals...so unless they add Yak&Yeti (which I don't think they will), we will have to FP it or standby. We are going June 4-11...so I have some time to decide between now and then. Our FP window opens 4/5 though, so we'll have to see if FP are available at that point or not.

Maybe Tiffin's will be open by then, if that appeals to you.
