Little gifts for kids...

I plan on bringing some little "gifts" to give my boys while we are on the cruise. This is to deter them from asking us to buy them expensive things on the ship lol.

Any suggestions? What have you brought?

Is there any need for glow sticks?

Glow sticks are fun for pirate night. If you join a fish extender group your kids will get a ton of little gifts. Some people choose to hang up a fish extender and bring their own little gifts to put in it every day if they don't want to join a group.

We usually do this. We usually bring one clothing item (pjs, t-shirts, sweatshirt, swimwear, etc.), one plush item, one glow item (usually like a wand or crown or something bigger than just a glow stick) and then an assortment of other little items. Party City has some cheapie little favors I usually throw together. Two years ago I found some cute dress up shoes at a Goodwill. I sort of shop ahead of time and find little odds and ends.

For our upcoming alaskan cruise, I picked up a little husky dog plush since we've about reached critical mass on Disney plush items. I shop clearance at places like Target and also Disney store. Online often has some killer deals when stuff is on clearance. I don't find the stores to be as good.

For clothing items, I generally purchase from Kohl's. I find they have a pretty wide array of character shirts and other items.

Games too. The Target dollar bun has Disney stuff every so often, and I got a Disney memory game that was nice to have. Also a $1 puzzle in a little pouch.

Oh, I also bought a Disney water bottle for her to use for drinks from the drink stations.

You didn't say how old, another idea is play doh.

I made DD a string backpack with her name in DCL font (you can get these from DISigners) and packed full of all her little gifts including lots of glow jewelry. Honestly, we were so busy that she never asked for more.
