Little dude growing out his bangs

Both of my boys (nearly 10 and nearly 8) are wanting to grow their hair longer, too. My oldest has course, wavy hair and it always looks a mess. My youngest has fine, straight hair so his usually looks decent. I told them they could grow it out but they would have to "agree" to getting it trimmed (and shaped?) every so often so they don't look like a couple of ragamuffins.

So far it's working.

I will say that we go through a good deal of hair gel with the oldest one. He has the unruliest hair I've ever seen!

And on a similar tangent, has anyone seen Lords of Dogtown? The kid that plays Stacy Peralta has the most incredibly gorgeous long, blonde hair. He's a real cutie in the movie.

So.....bangs still are "out" right now? for some reason, I thought that they were coming back in style.....it is tough keeping up with these trends!!!!

My philosophy with bangs is, get them if you want them or need them. Some people just have rather large forheads, they need bangs! I have "shag" they're about eye length, but part with my hair.
