I know this seems to be mainly for little girls, and I can see why they'd love it, but my 3-yo ds likes Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast movies, and I thought he might like the meal in the castle. Would it be weird for us to go with just boys? We would be me, DH, DS3, and DS1, so they won't know it's a "girly" meal.

We always go with DS 5 and DS 2. They haven't seen alot of the princess movies (they stick to toy story, etc) - but they know all the princess names and really enjoying seeing them BECAUSE the face characters get to talk and interact with them. They love that!

They also love being inside the castle! We live near DL and go there alot - but there is no public interior (other than the SB walk thru). They think it's so cool that the castle if FL has a restaurant inside.

I would take them - you'll get great photos. I, personally, do not like the food there, but we always go because the kids love the experience.

We just ate there with our DS's (4 and 10) and we werent the only boys only family there. Go enjoy yourselves.

There are alot of families that go to CRT that have only boys. We're one of them.

Go and enjoy yourself.

My little boy loves CRT and it's on his must-do list for our next trip. There is nothing "girly" about the castle at all; in fact, it's quite attractive to boys for its medieval architecture and all the knights' regalia (banners, armor, weapons). Prince Charming is there and sometimes Aladdin. And the princesses are known to make a really big fuss over boys willing to play along as "princes." Don't miss CRT if you can snag the ever-so-coveted PS; it's really a wonderful experience for the whole family. (Keep a wary eye on that Cinderella; I SAW her lookin' at my DH and I just don't know if she can be trusted!;) )

This is Disney, let the kid do what he wants. No one really cares if your a boy or girl::MickeyMo

The first time we went, I had "borrowed"my nieces. ;) We then went back again, just DH, myself and 2 DSs. Part of the appeal was eating in the Castle on Christmas morning, and I wanted to go back for that cheese stuffed danish/French Toast thing. As an added bonus, my 7 yo did seem smitten by the princesses this time. :teeth: We enjoyed it with just boys. :D

You know, I am seriously considering CRT for us.My boys will be 10 & 12 though.
My 12 yr old is pretty flexible, but the 10 yr old is majorly into the "I'm not a little boy anymore" deal.

I wonder if they would flip if I tell them we are going.Hmmm:scratchin

My nephew loves it when the princesses make a fuss over him. He has been going to princess meals (CRT, PSB, and Park Faire) since he was 3.

Id say go for it. Im sure he will enjoy it. I know our son was in heaven at the princess storybook breakfast- he kept saying look at all the pretty girls. cant wait to see his reaction to the castle. :D

My DSs were 2 and 5 when we went; Mary Poppins kissed DS5 on the cheek and he wouldn't let me rub off the lipstick for most of the day!

BTW DHs and older sons are known to enjoy the princesses' presence just fine. ;)

Um, my wife and I go and its just the two of us. We love chatting it up with the characters, getting autographs, photos, etc.

It's for everyone! :bounce:

Thanks for all the positive responses! I posted about this on another message board (different site) awhile back, and was shocked at the responses I got that hinted my boys didn't belong there.....guess that goes to show, DISers' are the greatest bunch around!

We're going and we've got 2 boys ages 14 and 11.

Personally ,I'm thrilled for me because when I was there at 18yrs I didn't know you could go into the castle. Mind you, at 18 there was a lot I didn't know! LOL

I remember going to a character meal when my little brother was about 5 or 6. He ADORED all the attention he got from the princesses. In fact, he told Cinderella that my mom and I were his wicked stepsisters. :teeth:

My ds LOVES to eat in the castle and his mommy loves it too (LOL!)- as far as I am concered it's not a gender thing it's a Disney thing.
PS) I think my son would marry Cinderella if he could!!!

If we can get the ressies for crt we will be there and we only have one 2 year old boy! I think he'll love it and I know I'll enjoy it!::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo

I took my daughter and son when they were 3 and 4 respectively in Aug.01 were were so lucky The princesses were there for my daughter to ooh and ahh over and Peter Pan made an apperance that was the only character my son wanted his picture with. When we went again in Sept. of 02 Peter Pan was not there..my son was a little dissapointed. But he enjoyed the castle.

I have 4 children (11, 8, 4, 2). The only one that is a girl is the 8 yr old. All of my boys love the attention they get from the princesses. They help in our ps planning and always choose the princess breakfast.
