Little boys and Cars Toys

HELP! PLEASE Im kinda at a loss

One of my coworkers came to me today and said "Oh I hear you going to DL on saturday" she then proceeded to hand me $100 and asked me to find something really cool for her little boy who is 3 or 4 years of age. Apparently he LOVES CARS! CARS CARS CARS ANYTHING CARS and so my coworker wants me to find something SO COOL car related to buy him in DL. Something you cant really find anywhere else.

She gave me his clothing size incase I find a really cool cars outfit, she said if I can find a pack of mini cars, or just something really fun and cool for a 3 - 4 year old she would be the happiest mum alive.

Any suggestions?

Oh boy.....I think this could be a problem.

I have 2 boys (ages 7 & 3), and my experience shopping for Cars toys at the parks or DTD was not good. There wasn't much available there, especially in regards to Car toys. Quite honestly, because the selection was so horrible, we actually had to buy some Car stuff online from Disney.

Maybe the inventory and selection has increased since we were last there (last October at DL, and January at WDW), but my experience is there's Princess stuff and Pirates stuff everywhere (as far as the eye can see!), but Cars or Toy Story or Monsters Inc stuff was few and far between. It's a bit of a bummer for the little guys who are too young to really like the Pirates movies.

Like Cars the movie? You know I was disappointed with what they had there on that. I thought for sure I was going to find things that you couldn't find elsewhere. But I think I found more toys on Cars at Target and Walmart then I did DL! What I did find I could pretty much find anywhere too. Nothing very unique.

Now my son used to LOVE the little Chevron cars by the Autopia ride. They have all different kinds, and their eyes move. Maybe he'd like those too?

My daughter was 4 when we went last year and is in love with cars. She found this little stuffed Lightening McQueen that is so much different than anything you find in stores. It is about 8 inches and has a foam inside instead of the beanie ones here. She has loved this thing so much that all his embelishments have came off. We looked for another one when we went to WDW and had no luck at all.

If this little boy is anything like her he would love this toy and it was less than $15.

Toys R Us has some great Cars stuff right now.....I know, that doesn't help in this situation though!

Don't let this stress you out for your trip. If you find a cool cars thing great, if not, give her back her money and say I couldn't find any cool car stuff, I hear target has some.

OK, we are Cars fanatics around here. DS has the bedroom set, our rec room bathroom is Cars.........we don't have a space empty in our house that does not have something to do with Cars......you get the idea.
We were there three weeks ago and did find some newly released Cars- Dinoco Chick, etc. In regard to clothes and other related items we were disappointed. Disney shopping has more items that DL and DCA did in my opinion.

We just got back on Sunday and I was very disappointed in the lack of Cars merchandise. I did find some cars that aren't available where I live. We ended up buying a Cars t-shirt, Chick car, Flo and Ramone,and the Woody and Buzz Cars set. Good luck!

Disney shopping recently had tshirts for $4.99 and sweatshirts for $7.99. Pj's were 4.99 I think.

Thank you all for your honesty, as it is much appreciated. That really kind of blows that there is a lack of merchandise in the park. Its a bit confusing actually the princesses are a huge success with the girls, so why not have merchandise everywhere for the boys? What little boy doesnt like to play with toy cars?

Anyways.... Thanks I will let my co worker know that I have talked to you disney fanantics and tell her I will take the money and have a look but if I cant find anything then I will return the money back to her.

Exactly, little boys seem to get left out in a lot of things like that. They do have a ton of pirate stuff, and my son does like that also. But not all little boys are in to pirates, some may be too young ect.. I know most boys love Cars though. So I don't get it either!
