I'm always scouring the internet - looking for on-line hotel booking sites and it seems that I find a new one almost daily! Although I have never actually booked through one yet, there are some great deals out there and the prices vary WIDELY according to what site you're browsing through..

Thought maybe it might be helpful to others if we could get a list going - along with the pros and cons, good experiences and not so good experiences..

We always use hotelkingdom.com. We have never had a problem with them.

I always check www.hotelkingdom.com because they will match any low price you can find (except rates with codes or coupons).

I've also used

www.valuetrips.com

www.eleisurelink.com

and of course, Priceline and Hotwire.

I would also add for Vacation homes

hotelkingdom would not match a rate I found on hotelmartusa.com they said it was too low this was for Cypress Pointe. I booked with hotelmartusa.com since there rate was almost $40 less per night.

I have used hotelkingdom.com with no problems.

My favorites are 1) Priceline, 2) Orbitz and 3) Turbotrip. Have had good experiences with all 3 sites. On occasion I have also had luck with the hotel websites themselves when they have web specials.

In the last 18 months I have used both www.go2orlando.com and www.orlandoescape.com. I didn't have a problem with either one.
