List your first world problems here.

Crudite sounds more genteel, posh, or fahncy. Unless you mispronounce it as crud-ite, then you really sound like, um, the opposite of genteel, posh, or fahncy.

Crew- Duh- Tay! I actually never heard this word until I was an adult either, and I had to look it up because it was on the NYC American Girl Place menu. I am neither genteel, posh, nor fahncy. :p

Do any of you feel guilty for your good fortune? Even if you worked for it and was born in N. America it's different than being born say in a S. American slum. Do you ever feel that the right thing to do would be to sell your house and move to a very small house, down size your cars, sell off your jewelry and so forth and donate it to a third world charity? Sell your vacation house? Or maybe donate all your vacation funds and take no more vacations? If not should one feel guilty for having "first world" problems?

Nope. I refuse to accept guilt or shame for something I didn't do. I will feel guilty if I find myself complaining - which is why this thread was started but never for my life situation in gneral. I don't sacrifice holiday funds but I give to charities here as well as have three sponsorships in the world. I donate time, winter clothing and food and do what I can to help make it easier and/or better for someone. I recognise that I was born with advantages, especially after having lived in Africa and I don't forget to thank God for His graces. I'm fortunate I am able to make my own money and choices and depend on nobody for general happiness. But I don't feel guilty.

I just got my first iPhone after years of being an Android/Windows phone user. I miss my back button, but what really grinds my gears is that the Edit button for deleting messages/emails are on opposite sides of the screen for texts vs. emails.

I've watched the infomercial in amazement and I really want to get one! Did you only need one to light up the whole house? Did you get it from the number or a place like BB&B? I really want to do this! I'd be ok with nothing, but this should be enough to pacify the kids.

We bought one to get an idea of how it works. We have it set in the ground at the center of the house about 15 feet away, but it's not lighting up the edges, so we are going to get another one. 2700 sq.ft. house, 2 stories... so 2 works well for us.

We bought it from BB&B for $40, but we had seen them at Home Depot as well. It's actually really cool, except for the fact that DH has to keep going outside to kick it to make it come on. We're hoping the solar panel is just a dud on this one. We love it. Kinda shocked we haven't been seeing them more in our neighborhood.

"Check left rear tire pressure" light illuminated in DW's car. Only, the air pressure is fine. So, now I need to figure out how to clear the code or get the sensor fixed.

If you figure it out, please let me know. The low pressure gauge light has been coming on and staying on since a few months after I bought my car in 2013. I've brought it back to the dealer a few times, they "fix" it, and a few weeks later it lights up again. Now I ignore it. When I go for oil changes, they usually notice it on their own and again fix it, and again it comes back on a short while later. :sad2:

Doofus DH intentionally mispronounces them as CRUD-ites. He knows better, but chooses not to use it. Most of the time, anyway. If we went to a genteel, posh, fahncy social gathering, he'd probably act the part, but it would kill him. (Inwardly he'd probably be seething: Raw vegetables?!!! What kind of crap is this??!! I want mini meatballs or shrimp or mini pigs in a blanket!!)

My car's low pressure light doesn't tell you which tire is low. It just comes on if the pressure is low in a tire. Then I have to check them all till I find it. Wah... poor me.

Art -- I lost the quote of your post, but to answer your question:

No, I do not feel guilty. What I have did not come from me or mine stepping on others to get it. I am cognizant of all the advantages that being born white, middle class and American have given me and very grateful for that while also upset that there are such inequalities even in our own country, much less world wide. Therefore, I try to work to overcome those hitngs in various ways (volunteering, donating, staying informed and trying to pass on information, voting for people who support more equitable systems even if it might cost me personally in the form of higher taxes, etc). I guess I'd say I feel lucky nad feel compelled ot help bring about change to make the world a better place for those not as lucky as myself--but not guilty that I had the good fortune I did.

My tpm would go off when it got really cold, like 40 degrees (I'm in FL). I freaked out the first couple of times, then just reset it. It was a Mini, and had an option in the dashboard computer to reset it. Try Googling it.

I can't use my GPS in my freshly restored Classic 1965 Mustang because the cigarette lighter doesn't work.

Yep. My DH is the same way. Meanwhile, I would choose shrimp over fresh veggies too.

Thank you for the advice.

I couldn't find solid orange wrapping paper anywhere, so I had to settle for white and use orange curling ribbon.

I stupidly had items shipped to JC Penny. JCP is in the mall. Items have arrived. It is a hot mess/zoo over there every single minute during the Christmas season. All I wanted were pants. They aren't even a Christmas gift.

I have no idea when I will have time to drive over there and battle the crowd (Mon morning maybe???) But I am dreading it.

The arms on my cashmere cardigan are too tight because DH got it wet. Also, my smoothie is about to be empty.

We are moving into our new house and in putting away all the clothes in our spacious walk in closets. But my 2 year old twin terrors keep turning off the light and shutting the door, and I'm claustrophobic. Woe is me with my walk in closets...
