Haha, so I have been reading so much on here and finding out things that I have never heard of, so I have made a list of questions that I kept adding to as I read on! :rotfl: (My search isn't working, btw, so don't hurt me please!)

1. What is a gold spike?
2. There is a petting zoo Frontierland?
3. Where is Little Red Wagon at? I have not known another place that sold corn dogs since Corn Dog Castle. :sad1: RIP<3
4. What is a mint julep and fritter?
5. What is the goat trick on BTMRR?
6. Where is Clarabell's frozen yogurt?
7. What is a Tortuga Trio?

I have more, but I can't remember because I hadn't made a list yet. So I am sure I'll keep this post going!

Also,
Do gift cards work on food at DLR?

I can't wait for my trip in Jan!! I am going to be a pro and know everything thanks to DIS. :)

1. What is a gold spike?
I think this is the spike by the castle that is "supposed" to be the center of Disneyland?

2. There is a petting zoo Frontierland?
It's at Big Thunder Ranch

3. Where is Little Red Wagon at? I have not known another place that sold corn dogs since Corn Dog Castle. RIP<3
It is on Main St. by the Baby Center

4. What is a mint julep and fritter?
I've never had. Heard the mint julep is comparable to drinking Scope.

6. Where is Clarabell's frozen yogurt?
My guess is ToonTown

Do gift cards work on food at DLR?
Yes at all sit down & counter service places and most carts, just not the Birthday funcards.

It is next to the new BBQ Area

3. Where is Little Red Wagon at? I have not known another place that sold corn dogs since Corn Dog Castle. :sad1: RIP<3

On Main Street near the Plaza Inn

4. What is a mint julep and fritter?

A Mint Julep is a mixture of simple syrup and mint extract. The fritters are like donut holes only richer and the dipping sauce you get is delish!

5. What is the goat trick on BTMRR?
6. Where is Clarabell's frozen yogurt?
7. What is a Tortuga Trio?

The Tortuga Trio is a dessert served at the Blue Bayou. It is Creme Brulee in three different flavors.

I have more, but I can't remember because I hadn't made a list yet. So I am sure I'll keep this post going!

Yes at the couter service and table service restaurants. The only place you can't use them on food is the vending carts.

Have fun!

LOL I like the Mint Julep, but my sister thought it was gross. I wouldn't say it tastes like Scope... in fact, I can't remember what it tastes like. I think I'm going to have to go back so I can have another! :drinking1 By the way, I like minty drinks (mojitos mostly).

5. What is the goat trick on BTMRR?
As you are passing the goat with the dynamite, you are supposed to keep your eyes on the goat for as long as you can. Supposedly this enhances the thrill of the ride somehow, but all I experienced was sliding against the side of my seat.

Shut the front door!!! I had no idea there was a petting zoo. Seriously, I'm shocked. Now I gotta try and find photos. Thanks for asking the questions, OP. :goodvibes

LOL thanks everyone! Haha, I was shocked when I heard there was a petting zoo too, haha. And 3Minnies1Mickey, I loved the Scope comment. :crazy2: I won't be trying that since I don't like mint drinks specially when mixed with syrup. The Fritters sound good though! :teeth: I will be back when my list of questions builds back up. Anyone can ask there questions here too! I would love to help answer them back and it would be cool to have a complete list of random questions. :lmao:

Works best, IMO, when you're towards the back of the train. Just keep looking over, then back, at it... With me, it enhanced the stomach-flipping feeling.

The fritters are basically fried dough. I've had them once or twice from Royal Street Veranda, and they were scrumptious. But last trip hubby got them from the stand behind French Market (where you get the Julep) because standing in line for 45 minutes (pre-Fantasmic) for two coffees just didn't feel right and he thought I wanted a snack, and they were half uncooked and just eggy and gross.

The giftcards...the main rule of thumb about them is if the cart can move, at DLR it generally isn't hooked up to a network for ANY cart to work. So the fruit cart on Main Street or outside-ish bug's land, looks like a *cart*, but they don't move and they ARE hooked up, and they CAN take giftcards (and other cards). But if it's a rolling cart with light up toys or ice creams, or a walking balloon vendor, at this time they aren't taking cards of any sort.

To concur with what Bumbershoot just said, I just used a gift card at the fruit cart on Main Street (with the pineapple spears and overpriced juice) this past Saturday. They said the only thing they do not take is the Annual Pass for discounts, but gift cards are okay.

Sherry! You went! Yay!!!!! Gotta check out your trip report...I've been avoiding the section b/c I haven't felt the zen-place to update my own, LOL>

Yes! I went, Molly!:cool1: It was a spur of the moment thing, but thankfully it happened. The TR is short - begins on page 37 of existing TR and concludes on page 38. But I did, indeed, use my special Halloween gift card at that Main Street fruit cart and even though those pineapple spears are darn expensive...they are SO tasty, especially when you are dehydrated! I just can't get over the small $4 juice bottles. That is crazy business!

The gold spike is actually a survey marker from which they laid out the rest of DL.

I think the "petting farm" really got popular and became an attraction when Mickey Moo was born. I have pictures of Mickey Moo and my DD from around 1995? It is also where the presidentially pardoned turkeys come to live.

For me the Goat Trick works like it does for Molly. I just watch it go all the way around and my stomach flips....LOL I love it!!! But I don't do it every time. :) Keep the ??s coming Tink, that's why we are here! :)

This time of year, the petting zoo is One cow.

The gold spike is under the castle entrance right in the middle of the walkway. We always step on it :goodvibes Be sure and look for the gold toothed horse on the carousel also. That was Walt's favorite.

Actually, we were there just there a few weeks ago and there was no cow. The petting zoo was one very large sheep and lots of goats. Right now it's part of the Big Thunder Ranch Halloween Roundup.

We were there last week and there was One Cow :lmao:

Oh really? :rotfl: That's pretty funny! I guess it was the sheep's day off! :lmao: The sheep was pretty interesting though because it was SO big. I think I'm glad we missed the cow.

Thanks so much for the help everyone! In a way this board has it's own little bit of DL magic. :wizard:

Got a few more for ya!
What is:
1. A Tinkerbell Twist
2. A Dream Fast Pass
3. Chikapin Hill
4. Golden Zephr (why is it good at night?)

what does it mean to be "dreamed?"
:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

1. A drink consisting of frozen watermelon & sour apple twisted together.

2. A Dream Fast Pass was from the Year of a Million Dreams promotion. It was a plastic card that was approximately 4" x 6", hung around the next like a lanyard and had several little tabs on it that could be broken off. Each tab was a FP for each FP attraction.

3. What the queue for Splash Mountain goes through.

4. Hmmm.... not sure on this one unless it's because of all the pretty lights???

Non-numbered: During the Year of a Million Dreams promotion, Cast Members known as the "Dream Squad" would give guests (selected at random) various prizes. This became known as being or getting "dreamed." It no longer occurs as the promotion is over.

A Tinkerbell Twist sounds so good! Where do you get those at? And I wouldn't know about SM because I have never waited in the whole line, haha. Just FP! I wish I had a Dream FP! Haha. :)

So if I was going to get a gift card.. Would I be able to use it on the Segway Tour? I am thinking about getting my bf a $200 one for Christmas, and then we would have left overs for food at the park and perhaps the BB?! I have never been there and want to but it's so expensive!

And yet another question.. Would it be ok to get just one AP, and then when my boyfriend goes we would pay for his PH tickets? We just can't spend that much money at once but at least if we had one AP taken care of we would only have to buy his tickets when we go (or mine, whoever we decide). We would have to get the premium because there are wayyy too many saturdays blocked out. From like April to August or something there are no Saturdays, which is always the time that we go! :(
