We went over this. People REALLY do appreciate your posts. And you should just ignore people who are rude.

I don't get it he thnks I said all this is happening at once. This is all stuff that was once planned but now on hold.

Expedition Everest has been open 5 years. The "All New" is the "Disco yeti"... where the put strobe lights on it to give the appearance of motion when it doesn't work properly... which is most often the case now.

Well, at 5 years they still should not be advertising it as "new".

We were lucky enough to ride EE when it was new and the Yeti was still the Yeti....not the current "disco babe". Again....just takes $$$$$ but the maintenance budgets were cut when staffing was slashed 18 months or so ago.


I remember when they were making the BIG HOO HOO about Summer Nightastic at DL and introducing the all new dragon for Fantasmic. The night before opening night, in the middle of the dress rehearsal, the dragon's head fell off (that was an OOPS). The poor little dragon didn't make it's introduction to the public until ........ AFTER Summer nighttastic was over in September.....but they didn't change the promos!!!

(and the dragon, by the way, IS wicked cool!)

The loss of the dragon's head and the Yeti going into B mode were two big indications that the guidelines for construction were cutback.....build it but build it cheap. Dragon's neck and Disco Yeti were not built well enough to stand up to standard operational challenges.

Sometimes the view "behind the curtain" (DH a 33 year castmember) is not as magical as on stage.

MI coaster is on that list i thought that was ready to go. My friend still tells me both that and TL-Eticket is a go.
