Lisa's Wish Journal - Now we have gone Dopey.

Thanks Amy and Linda for stopping by.

Friday was a short day at work, and a rest day. DH wanted to go out to eat at a Chinese buffet which is fine as I just don't care for it any more whick means, I don't eat much. Mainly fruit and a few vegies. :thumbsup2

Saturday was the first soccer day. Got a call bright and early that DS would be reffereing two games. DD didn't want to play which was just as well since DS would be officiating at her game. I wasn't sure if that was "legal" so I didn't push her to play. DH and I had fun "helping" DS ref, which he REALLY appreciated. :rolleyes1 One parent, who didn't know he was ours at first, asked if he could throw us out of the park. "not if he wants a ride home" I told her. :lmao:

Saturday evening I took the kids shopping with me (not my most favorite idea) while DH watched football. :sad2:

Sunday we had to watch more football and then took DD to Chuck E Cheese for sleeping in her bed so well by herself. Seems DH had promised her and forgot to tell me. Tell me if this is weird. When we went in and got our hands stamped the girl said "have a magical time". I thought it odd, but decided I didn't understand her. As we were leaving, a different one was at the door and she said "I hope you had a magical time while you were here." I looked at DS and asked, "what is so odd about what she just said" to which he answered "cause we're not at Disney. only Disney says that."

Tonight was dance and we did zumba again. Short class though cause everyone else wanted to get home to watch the Saints play. 30 minutes into it and I was doing good. Not getting all the steps, but the workout was feeling good. So, I came home and took the dog for a walk. She was happy, but started dragging a little at the end. I have to remember that she hasn't been out all summer and she needs to build back up. Gotta go a little slower with her.

Tomorrow DH goes on a trip for a few days and my crazy schedule will be a little crazier. But, I get Friday off, so I have something to work towards. :thumbsup2

Lisa

We have had a craving for Chinese too but the place in this area I have recently heard some not so good thnigs about- we have eaten there for years but now that you actually hear something it is hard to go back.

Football and fall gotta love it!

Have a magical day- oohh! They could get in trouble- ooo! Everyone knows that's Disney's thing.

Have a good one

Linda

I'm glad that you're enjoying Zumba. It really is a fun workout and time goes by so fast!

I hope you have a wonderful week ahead!

Linda, that is what I thought, boy wouldn't Disney's lawyers have a field day with that one. I could just see the headlines on that one. "Chuck E Cheese is sued by Mickey Mouse over the phrase "Have a Magical Day". :lmao:

Tracy - welcome back! Good to hear from you. Yes, I love zumba, and the time flies. I am trying to convince myself that the $60 would be well spent for the set.

Today was not a good day. Had a headache so I had to stay home. I love Fall cause it starts getting cooler, but the change in weather does a number on my sinus.

Yesterday DH went to Charleston for a few days so I am doing double duty. Took DD to soccer practice and DS had a swim meet away. Had to keep DD up to pick him up from the school when they got back. I did walk at work for about 30 minutes, wasn't feeling good, but I had a descent pace going. Slept when I got home for about 45 minutes and then was able to walk while DD had practice. Did about 45 minutes there at a much better pace.

Today Gram came for dinner and neither kid had anything so it was a quiet night.

I am better now, just a bit of tenderness around my eyes. Tomorrow should be better.

My friend April went to the doctor (OB) and they don't give her much hope for carrying it. Her levels are low and they have done three sets of blood work and each time they have gone down. An ultra sound was done and there was a heart beat. Another ultra sound will be done in two weeks. We are just praying at this point.

Hi Lisa,
Alot of sinus stuff around these days.I know 2 people with pnemonia right now too.

Sounds like you have been doing ok with your walking despite your sinuses.

Good luck to April- that is so hard.

Linda

Sending a gentle  your way, Lisa. I hope you're feeling much better today!:wizard:

Sending lots of prayers April's way........

I hope your Thursday is a good one, my friend.

Sounds like you are having a very active fall so far. The "fall fest" at work sounds like fun. Juggling all the schedules for you kids must be quite a challenge. Great job getting your walking in any way you can. :thumbsup2

I will really be praying for April. That must be agony waiting to see what will happen with her pregnancy. Keep us posted.

Aren't the nights when you don't have something to take kids to heavenly? But its good they are involved. Just think someday, our kids will be all grown up and what in the world will we do with our evenings?

Good job with the Zumba and the walking. Roo will get back in the program!

I hear you on the sinus thing. Mine do the same thing as the weather changes. Have you ever tried a Netti Pot? It really helps me but I hate doing it.

Thanks for the prayers and well wishes. I really felt them today. And today was so much better than yesterday. :goodvibes

Back to work and the day just flew bye as I had so much to do. Not only catch up from yesterday, but get everything done (payroll mainly) as tomorrow is my off day. And an off day that is all mine, at least for about 6 hours. :lmao: I really hope I get to clean house. We'll have to see how the morning progresses. I do love cleaning house when I am by myself. I can see the progress before any one messes it up.

I walked tonight at the soccer field, and tried really hard to pick up my pace. But people kept stopping me to talk. Each time I tried to pick up my speed someone else would stop me. It became quite comical.

I did have my evening planned so perfectly too. Be at the pool to get DS at 5:00, bring him home to change, drop him off at the hair stylist for his hair cut on the way to the soccer field for 5:30. Settle DD at soccer and go back to get DS who should be done and back to the soccer field before DD's practice is over and in time for DS' to begin. After DS' practice, pick up dinner at Subway and home to begin cleaning. So, who wants to guess as to exactly how my evening worked out? Right...... it didn't. DS's swim ran over and completely messed up the entire schedule. Swim practice NEVER runs over. But DS decided he was too tired for soccer and wanted to go home after his hair cut. So, back to the hosue, change for him, dropped him off only 5 minutes late for his appt and DD was 15 minutes late for practice. Oh well, it looked good on paper. and DS was able to walk home from his appt, so I got to walk which I didn't think I was going to get to do. I am so glad I am learning to go with the flow.
Now, why do I think I may not get to clean tomorrow? Gram was in an accident tonight. Thankfully she was not hurt (so she says) and no one else was involved. But the car may be totaled. :sad2: I was hoping this car would last her a few years. She spent all of her savings on taking care of my neices this past year and her credit is not good (thanks to my youngest DB) so she can't get a loan. I also think she may have dropped full coverage on her car. I'm praying she didn't. I had to call my oldest DB tonight and warn him. He is finally coming for a visit this weekend and I wanted him to know what he was walking into. It won't be the first time she has asked him for money for a car. But it's his turn. I did the last one. So I tagged him it for this one.

Funny Tracy that you were talking about thinking of things that need to be taken care of, making lists and have a discussion with DH. Same thing is going on here. DH really wants a new job (I am totally on board with this). He is so miserable, but does his job so well, that he keeps getting blocked from moving to a different one in the company. But he hates his job. So, looks like a new job will mean moving. He is putting out resumes every week. If we were to move, we would have to sell our house. When we built this house it was with the thought that we would live here forever, so we built it to our tastes and not with resell value in mind. A few things will need to be changed if we are to put it on the market, but that is minor. If we move, I would have to change jobs also. I am not good at beginning new things. DH has wanted me to quit work for a long time, so I really want to get everything paid off so quite possibly I wouldn't have to get a job right away. We really only have two bills and the car but I can't seem to get them paid off. DH has not been cooperating, but I think he finally looked at the bills one day and realized what I am trying to do. He finally said that I can sell his second mower and the camper that are both costing us more money than they are worth. and taking up space. I have my yearly yard sale planned for the first weekend of November (usually in October, but that day won't work this year) I have made great strides in cleaning out the attic the past couple of years.

So, I have my notebook and fold full of lists, ideas and plans and am optimistic. We'll see how things go.

Thank all for praying for April. So far so good, but it's in the Lord's hands.

If anyone has made it this far, I hope you have a wondeful weekend.

Oh Lisa I remember those days! I don't know how we did it because we never did ride sharing only my DH and me and y parents if needed.I just think about it now and get tired.

Hope your Gram makes out OK.

My DH looking for new job too- of course it's great too even have one these days.

Linda

Lisa, I am so sorry your gram was in an accident. I am so glad she's okay but I so hope she didn't get rid of her total coverage. That must be so frustrating for you that other family members take advantage of her and then leave her unable to take care of her own needs. Families!

I will say prayers that the issues with dh's job change and your possible move all work out. Who knows, moving could be a wonderful change for the whole family. But I know its scary too. Good job getting things cleaned out for a yard sale, that will kill a few birds with one stone!

I hope you get your house cleaned, I am with you, cleaning when nobody else is home is good therapy and at least you can see the results before everyone files in and messes it up again!

And very good job going with the flow!:thumbsup2

Have a super weekend and keep us posted on April and your gram.

So sorry to hear about Gram's accident but glad to know she wasn't hurt. I hope it turns out that the care is covered.

It sounds like you have a lot of new possibilities and change on the horizon. That can be so exciting but scary too. I hope it all works out wonderfully for you and your family.

Just a quick post. My DB is here and was saying I need to find a support group to help with my addictions, mainly Disney! :lmao: I logged in to show him my wonderful support group. When I began listing everyone (by Disboard names), he just shook his head. Yeah, he loves Disney also and is going twice next month. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Gram is okay. Won't know about the diagnoses of the car until Tuesday or Wednesday, but she does still have coverage on it. Thank goodness. :goodvibes

April lost the baby yesterday. :sad1: We are all sad, but thankful that it happened now and not later. She is okay. Thank you for all the prayers.

I have alot of head shakers when it comes to Disney too but I just play right along and keep it going- no better place!

My DH goes to Disney Oct 11th for business and is staying at CBR- I was going to go but it is alot to ask my parents to watch my puppy and my dd16.

Hugs for April that is very diffucult

Linda

I am so sorry about April. What a heartbreaking loss. Did they say if she could try again in a few months? I will keep her and her family in my prayers.

My brother is the same way: gives me grief about my addiction while he happily continues to go to Disney every chance he can!

I am so thankful your gram has full coverage! I will never do liablity again, that is one of the things that contributes to my nephew's current financial hardship, his car was totaled and he didn't have full coverage. So he had to finance another car when he really couldn't afford to and its been like a dominoe affect. Maybe your gram's car can be fixed, I hope so! If not, at least she'll get some money to go towards a new one.

I am so sorry to hear about April. :sad1: I'll be praying for her and for her family. :grouphug:

I'm glad to hear that your gram is okay!:goodvibes Sending lots of good thoughts for her car situation.:wizard:

Sending lots of prayers your way as you and your DH contemplate career changes and moving. I know both things can be scary, but they may be huge blessings in the end!:goodvibes

I hope you have a nice Monday!

So sorry to hear about April's loss.
I hope you get good new's about your Gram's car. Hopefully it can be repaired.

Don't you worry about those Disney head shakers. There are lots of worse things to be addicted to!

Hey Miss Busy Lisa! I have a feeling somebody I know is having a hectic week! Hang in there and I hope at least its a good, busy week!:rotfl:
