Liquor store question - Vancouver

Staying at the Westin Bayshore the night before our upcoming cruise. Does anyone happen to know if there is a liquor store within walking distance? Need wine before we board

Also wondering what a bottle of inexpensive wine might cost there?

Here's the website for BC Liquor stores:

Just type in the address of your hotel (1601 Bayshore Drive) and it will map out all the nearby liquor stores. There's several in the downtown core.

As for wine prices, cheaper ones (say, from California) will start around the $8 range. There should be a good selection of BC wines, which start around $15. The liquor store website also has a catalogue with all the prices on it.

I have shopped at the BC Liqour at the intersection of Robson and Bidwell. It is very close to your hotel. It's a huge liqour store.

Costco locations in BC do NOT sell wine or liquor. Our liquor laws are quite antiquated and they are only just now getting revised. Grocery stores are slowly starting to be able to sell wine, but it's taking a LONG time and there are a million hoops to jump through.

You will need to hit a liquor store - it's taking forever to get booze into other outlets

Keep in mind.... the signature liquor store will offer best selection... especially compared to a grocery store.

As @DnA2010 answered above, you will need to go to a liquor store. Only a handful of grocery stores (mostly Save On Foods) are carrying wine at this time and they are all out in the 'burbs.
