Liquor Sold at Resort Gift Shops

I have never ordered groceries when visiting Disney. However, I am going next month and staying for a week with family. My brother wants to order water/pop and a few groceries. After reading up, I see that Garden Grocer has very good reviews. Do they only deliver wine and beer and not harder alcohol? It sounded like they do not. I told my brother that I have seen where resort gift stores have liquor behind the counter. I haver never bought this before so does anyone know if they sell Jim Beam? I'm sure prices are high, any information. We are staying at POR. Thank you!

You are correct about Garden Grocer, they only sell/deliver Beer and Wine and a few premixed drinks. We use them every year and they are great! Always correct and on time AND you do not need to be there to meet them. They will drop off at Bell Services and you can go get it or have it delivered by BS. As far as Jim Beam yes, I know for sure they have it at POP and POFQ, so I am sure they will have it at POR.

It's a $6 charge that goes on your room and a "suggested" tip to the BS guy. I usually do $20, we always have a large amount of drinks delivered. BS is really good about getting up to your room fairly quickly. FYI: you can choose your delivery time (window) at GG and they are always spot on. We have our stuff delivered before we hit the resort and BS will store anything cold as well as all the other stuff.

When we want to order groceries and alcohol we always use Dizzy Dolphin Delivery. They can get you anything you want, including hard alcohol. They have fantastic customer service and very easy to work with. I find Garden Grocer limiting, but with Dizzy we get exactly what we need.

I have heard good things about DDD, although i have never used them personally, they come highly recommended.

We use GG and pack a 750 of Glenlivet in our checked luggage. It's not check at the resort for sure

None of the resorts sell 750 ML bottles, except of the Firefly Moonshine (I suspect a marketing agreement). Everything else will be in Half bottles (375 ML) for the ballpark of what you are used to paying for a fifth (750ML). So I'm not sure what the price for maker's is currently, but I'm guessing 350 ML for around 25-30. One of the best ways you can save money if you want true liquor at Disneyworld is bring it from home. If you are flying, aim for plastic containers, and put them in a ziplock. It works very well. Or, of course you can source from local companies off property....
