Lion King Tram from Katella Area Hotels? Staying at the Hilton.

I will be at the Hilton for next weekend. Last time I stayed there I was able to walk between the Hiton and the convention center to Katella and then into the Katella entrace (into the Timon parking lot, I think) and catch the Lion King tram. Does Disneyland still run the tram? If so, any suggestions on where to wait for it.

If they have the Timon parking lot open, then the tram will be running. They usually only open that parking lot when the crowds are expected to be heavy. If it's open, then you would catch the tram at the Lion King Tram Station located on the west side of the parking lot. (If you're looking at the parking lot from Katella Ave, the Lion King tram station is on the left side of the parking lot.)

When we stayed at the Hilton, the Timon parking lot was closed, so we either had to walk or drive our car back and forth, so needless to say, it was a bit of a pain with our little ones. We do really like the Hilton though!
