Hi, has anyone watched the Lion King from the cafe? Is it ok? I'm not looking forward to waiting for the tickets and was wondering if getting a meal and sitting in the cafe would work? Thanks

If you get there 30minutes before the show then you should get a good view, if it is a busier time I would aim for about 45minutes before as you will need to queue to buy your food.

We always sit in the cafe to watch the show. Can't see the point in wasting ride time queueing fro show tickets!

Last vist we saw Lion King 3 times with good views.

Over the years we've seen several different shows from the cafe, think the 1st was Beauty & the Beast.

Hi,
Sitting in the cafe does work but I think you miss some of the magic... it only took 10min to get tickets - and if you get to the theatre 20/30 min before the show, you get to sit centre front where the actors really interact - Scar comes RIGHT up to you!!! You feel more like you are really part of the show when you get the tickets. Also at the end the actors go up and down the aisles of the theatre bit and pose for your camcorder etc on their way, so I wouldn't like to miss out on that...

I agree with all of this. We caught the LK show one time while sheltering in Cafe Hyperion from the rain but it would only be a choice for us if we failed to get tickets for the show :goodvibes

We have done both and if you have time I would definitely recommend getting tickets - it is a fantastic show. We sat on one of the higher tables when we had lunch although there were close-ups on the screens this was not the same as seeing it close up.

We watched it from the theatre seats but we had just had lunch at the cafe and I'm sure we would have had as good a view staying in the cafe.

The first time we saw it we got tickets and I am glad we did, we watched it from the cafe other times while we had a drink and snack and chose to eat there as we could see the lion king show at the same time,

Another vote here for the theatre seats here, just brilliant. Still excellent from the cafe though.

If it is your first time I would wait for the tickets.

Paul.

We have done both. It's definitely best seen from the theatre, especially for the first time, but if you are pushed for time or really don't want to spare the time queueing for tickets you will still be able to throroughly enjoy the show from the cafe.
