Linking WDW tickets question

Just purchased tickets for WDW from a well known online ticket seller. Received the ticket confirmation and ticket numbers fast--15 minutes. I went to link the tickets to My Disney Experience so I could make park reservations over Thanksgiving (already booking up) but got an error message saying it could not be done at this time. Have tried back several times--same message. Of course, if you call the hold time is nuts. Is this normal? Any advice to the best way to get the tickets linked to my account?
 
I have no idea how it works getting tickets from a 3rd party. My experience is using military tickets that were purchased by some of the friends I am traveling with. We waited until the tickets arrived, and then linked each ticket individually. Trying to do them in a batch wasn't working. My AP was linked automatically at purchase. And the rest of the group purchased direct from Disney through MDE and theirs inked in with a confirmation code.

It may be that there is a delay in updating the codes in Disney's system for discount ticket sellers, or you may need the individual ticket numbers. I did need to call the MDE help line for assistance with one persons ticket not showing linked. I just put them on speakerphone until someone answered.
