Linking tickets?

I am trying to judge when to order tickets. I want them linked for our 60 day fp+ date (May 20).

If I order directly through disney online, can I link them immediately or do I have to wait for them to physically arrive in the mail?

If you purchase them online and through your MDE account (sign in and then purchase) they should link automatically. No physical ticket needed. May take a day or two to show up but should show in your MDE account under tickets.
