So I am a little confused on this. We have just gone with our family in the past so it was just our family linked. We are heading down in May and there will be other friends and family joining us on some days.

My DH and I are planning on getting AP's as we will make a few trips in the next 12 months. My stepson and his girlfriend are planning on getting 2 day hoppers, he is already linked to my account from previous trips. His girlfriend's 3 nieces live in Orlando and they will be joining us for 1 day in the MK.

My BIL and SIL recently moved to Orlando and have FL resident passes.

I already have dining reservations for everyone on the days we are planning on getting together. If my BIL and SIL already have a My Disney Experience account, I can't add them to my account to make FP for all of us together can I? I guess we would have to make them on our own accounts and hope to get FP for the same time.

We will have MM with our AP's, BIL and SIL do not but I read if they get linked to my account they can get pictures that we are all in. Not sure if this is the case or not. I know I will be the one that has to download the pictures.

Now, stepson's girlfriends nieces live in FL but do not have FL passes. They are over 9 so will need adult tickets. Are there single day FL passes and would their parents have to purchase the tickets and can the girls use them as their parents work so they will be entering the parks with us - not FL residents and can they also be added to my account for their photos?

All this is happening the end of May (a very quick impromptu trip planned).

Thanks,

Linda

You can connect with people that have their own MDE account. When you click 'Add a Guest' under Family & Friends on the MDE website, you can add people in one of three ways:
  1. From a list of people I may know
  2. Through his or her Disney Resort reservation
  3. By entering his or her name

Option 1: will show people who are managed by or connected to other people on your family & friends list. If there is someone on that list you want to connect with, select them and click 'Done'. This will send a friend request.

Option 2: add by reservation number. If you enter their room reservation number, you will be presented with a list of the occupants to select. A request will be sent to the primary MDE account holder(s) to approve the friend request.

Option 3: add by name (has 2 sub options if you select 13 and older for age).
  1. I want to manage all plans for this Guest.
  2. I want to send an invitation to connect. (Use this option to connect with someone that already has his/her own MDE account.)
If you want to connect with a family, you would first need to connect with the primary MDE account holder (most likely using option 3 plus sub option 2). Once you are friends with that person, click 'Add a Guest' again and you should see their family members that you can select to become friends with. The primary MDE account holder will need to approve the friend request.

To link family who already have an mde account to yours you have to send them a request. Once they accept your friend request make sure they click this person can see/purchase my photos and then their photos will show up. Once you are friends and they click another box allowing you to make /see all their plans you will be able to make fp+ resos for them.

For the nieces I would make them accounts under yours that are managed by you so you can make fp+ resos for them.

I have no idea about fl resident tickets

You can purchase the florida tickets for them (if you're so inclined) and add them to the MDE under will call but they have to show proof of residency at the will call counter at the ticket gate before they can be activated. Once they have valid ticket media and are in your group then the normal photopass rules apply.

AFAIK all the photos for people in your friends and family group (so long as they've allowed you to share their photos) will show up in your listing and are then downloadable by you. (At least that's how it worked for me but I was with a small group and they were always with me on the rides)

Thanks for all replies. As the 3 girls are between 4 and 13, what can be used as proof of FL residency. We will be taking them into the parks and we are not FL residents. Their parents work and we will be taking them for the day. thanks.
