I just called Disney about this. The lady on the phone says UK six digit ref numbers link at or after 120 days out for OKW bookings. Something peculiar to this resort. Thought this might be useful information to some people.

Think it depends who you speak to tbh! :confused3

I am staying at OKW Aug 15 and mine is linked on MDE but only after I rang them a month to six weeks ago about it. It took a little sorting out but it's done now.

Tbh though it doesn't really 'do' much anyway at this point in time, but it's nice to see it in black and white and my DD1 keeps making me go in every week or so and change the colour of her MB :lmao:.

So, if you are happy to wait, then fine. :thumbsup2

Oh well. I can wait a couple more months then call back. I just want to see it though!!!! She did also work out my ADR and FPP booking dates for me so not a completely wasted call I suppose.

We're staying at old key west in August 2015 and I've tried a couple of times to get my reservation linked to my mde without success. The time before last the helpful lady made a call and came back to me saying it would happen shortly. It didn't so 6 wks later I called back and got a really rude guy who made me feel like a fool for even trying this early and that 'they're concentrating on guests that are actually vacationing with them this year'. It's put me off trying for a bit as first time I've encountered this kind of attitude-I understand what he was trying to say but he certainly was lacking in pixie dust! :confused3

Sorry Scooby - just seen this! That was nice of her to work out your dates for you - as you say, not a wasted phonecall. My situation was a bit odd in that they originally told me my ref no was not a WDW one!? As I booked with WDTC I knew it was. Went back and they sorted out but now my ref no there is completely different. I have read many times about US refs and UK refs being different - who knows! I'd try again in a month or so :thumbsup2.

Have to say, the first lady I spoke to (after emailing a general email address twice) wasn't particularly helpful and was quite curt but to be fair she did pass me onto someone nice who promised to look into it for me. Next day I got a call from another lovely lady who said it was all sorted out - and it was! ;) I know it's ages away but it's just nice to see it in b&w especially as it's our first trip!

I've got a booking at SSR for next October that was booked at the end of June and my reservation is now on MDE, granted it took over a week to appear and then the tickets the next day. My uk reservation code wouldn't work so I emailed disney who said to call them. But before I called it appeared on there with the US reservation number. Only thing missing is the DDP but I'll worry about that in a few more months. Have even got the magic bands customised although the choices may change a few times between now and then.

Yes I agree it seems ages away but just even a sniff of pixie dust and seeing it on the mde would be enough to keep me smiling ( and obviously obsessing :rotfl2:)pixiedust: maybe I'll try again later this week.

We booked our dvc stay in june for next may and the same day we could link with MDE. Never used the magic bands or fp+ so it will be an experience in its own. Can't believe some of the things we will have to fp. Mind you I have not looked into it so I suppose we all have our favourites we want to see and ride.

I called about this very thing today, was informed that OKW reservations can be linked at 320 days out, she even gave us the date on which we should be able to link...15/12/14.

Hmmm, mine was about 345 days out when they linked it.... If it weren't so frustrating, it would be quite funny reading all the different answers we receive to our Disney questions from CMs! ;)
