Linking my ressie to an extra day someone else booked for me.

Hello all. I wanted to know if it were possible to link my current reservations to a ressie someone else would make for me in my name. I am staying for 4 days and want to add 1 night to the end of the stay. I want to be able to stay in the same room. I am short a few points and do not want to pay rack rate.

As long as the rooms have the identical occupants listed, and they are of an identical resort and room booking class, you should be able to link the reservations.

Yes, we did this. It was no problem at all.

I've done it with a night in the middle of my reservation, no problem. I booked Thursday, Saturday, Sunday. Friend booked Friday. It was turned into one 4 night reservation.

Yes, with the requirements Chuck noted. Realize that simply have the same size unit is not enough. It has to be the same view category if applicable and the same exact unit type. For example, one can't be a dedicated unit and the other a lockoff.
