Hi Disfriends!
Our trip is roughly a month away, and as newbie DVC members, I urged my hubby to add our blue card to his digital wallet this morning. He logged in to his MDE account and did this, which led to noodling around with the MDE app in general.
We are Disney vets, but it's been a year since the whole family has vactioned at WDW together. I can't remember if the whole family just logged into my MDE account, or if everyone has their own account? DH logged in to his account to add his DVC blue card to his digital wallet, but we realized the following things:
1. In his MDE account, he can't see any of our park tickets, park reservations, or ADRs.
2. In his MED account, he only has himself and me listed on his friends and family list. Two DSs and buddy traveling with us are not listed.
2. In my MDE, the whole family is listed in my friends and family section, and I can see all of our park reservations, park tickets, ADRs.
I googled how to link us, and he scanned my "linking code", but he still can't see anything beyond what I listed above. So, I'm wondering a couple of things:
1. Is it just easier to have DH, DSs (21 and 18), and DS's buddy (17) log in to my MDE as needed? I'm wondering if this is how we did things last year? I just can't remember. Or, is it important that each member of our family/traveling party have their own MDE account?
2. If it's super important that everyone has their own account, how do I link everyone so everyone can see park reservations/tickets/ADRs? This is confusing as one DS is in college in another state, and the buddy going with us lives across town.
3. If it helps, everyone has their own magic band that worked on our trip last March. (I have used my magic band on a separate trip this January and I had no problems with the magic band.). Will we have problems with magic bands opening doors, getting into parks, charging back to the room this trip if we're not "linked"?
I don't want to screw up our tickets and reservations, so I'm scared to do anything at this point. Any advice? Should I just call WDW and talk to a CM?
Any advice about how to navigate would be awesome! Thank you!
