Linking MB to MDE upon arrival

I apologize if this has been answered, but I could not find an answer in my search. My son is going to WDW for his senior class trip on Thursday. He has an MDE account, but because this is a group trip, he will not receive his MB until he checks in. Will he be able to have his MB linked to his MDE account upon arrival? And if so, will he and his group of friends whom he plans to tour with all need to be linked together? Is he better off just using the kiosks? He is very Disney savvy as he has gone his whole life and his friends are looking to him to be their leader, but this is one aspect we haven't had to deal with yet. Thanks!

Once he physically has the MB he'll be able to link its serial number to his MDE account. From there, it's up to him as to whether or not he wants to coordinate advance FP+ reservations for his group of friends and those friends will need to be linked to his account.

The friends will all need MDE accounts too, so have them set them up. Then, they can all be a part of your son't friend group on MDE.

When we does the FP+ is will ask who wants to be included. He will have to include all of them if they want their FP+ selections to be at the same time.

I would recommend doing it this way (assuming they are staying onsite) as the kiosks can have long lines.
