Linking MagicBand+ questions

Ordered our new MB+ and they arrived. I went to the app and was messing around and saw where it says you can link magic bands or tickets, etc so I tried to do mine and it says it's already been claimed...is that because I ordered them on the website and they have our names on them? I can't find anywhere that says I have a MagicBand linked to my account already though. I've been gone too long, there is all too confusing. Ha!

If you ordered them through My Disney Experience as part of a resort stay through My Disney Experience, then yes, they are already linked to the people in your account based on how you ordered them and there's nothing more you need to do. If you go to "My MagicBands and Cards" in MDE, you should be able to see the people listed in your account, and then see the bands for each person when you click on the person.
