linking dvc reservation with cro AP rate room

is it possible to link a regular DVC reservation with out of pocket CRO AP reservation.

The dvc person is telling me we have to wait to call OKW the week before and they are the only ones who can link reservations.

Is this true, or do i need to call again, or call CRO to have the reservations linked, as I'm hoping to stay in the same room.

I've never heard of anyone being able to link DVC to a CRO reservation--even when calling the resort as you describe. (BTW, calls to the resort go to an off-site call center, not the actual resort front desk.)

The resort may be able to keep you in the same room (no guarantee) but you'll definitely have to check in twice, have two sets of room keys, and your dining credits will be tied to each individual stay if you buy the DDP.

I have never heard of this being done either. They have two separate reservation systems that do not "talk" to each other.

The other thing is that DVC members can request a booking category of "Near Hospitality House" which CRO cannot offer. So if you requested this on your DVC ressie, you may be moving if only for that.

You can definitely make the request at check in, but as stated you will at the very least have to check out and check back in on transfer day...

Can't be done. Think of Disney as "buckets"- CRO is one, DVC is another, etc.

I added a night with AP rate to the end of an OKW points stay once. I had the other reservation # noted on both reservations. I reminded the front desk at check-in. Sunday to Thursday nights was points, on Friday morning I went to the front desk and got new keys, new parking permit, no problem keeping the same room. One thing to remember - you are not considered a DVC member for the cash night, so you will have to pay for internet. But you do get full housekeeping! Which was nice since T & T was Wednesday, we got new towels on Friday.

We're doing this next Saturday - one night on AP rate in a 2 bdrm at OKW, then two weeks on points - did it two years ago, and they were able to note on our ressie of the two separate reservations - had to check in and out last time, but was able to keep same room. Should work the same for this trip as well. Both have notes we prefer 'hospitality house' location. 7 more sleeps
