Linking DVC & Cash Reservations?

We have a DVC reservation the last week of Oct. (Sun-Fri) and DBF really wants to stay the weekend. Last week I got the 40% off AP PIN and DU got me a great price for Fri & Sat nights. Since DBF is paying, we will have 2 reservations. Is it possible for MS to link the reservations?

No - unless the cash reservation was made thru MS they can't link them together. I would call MS and ask them to make a notation about your cash reservation requesting that you be able to stay in the same room (provided it's the same type of villa) and then make the same request when you check in. At the least you will need to check in for the second part of the stay and get new room keys.

There are some types of rooms not available with cash reservations and some locations may not be available (BW view villas, near HH at OKW, some BCV villas), but as long as everything is the same you may at least not need to move. Be aware that you won't likley have a key stating DVC Member for the cash stay and won't get the free internet but you will have daily housekeeping.

I did that one time at OKW - booked Sunday to Thursday on points and then Friday night on an AP rate. I noted it on both reservations and mentioned it at check-in. On Friday morning, I went to the HH and got new keys and parking permit (non-member). It was very easy. We got full housekeeping that day.
