Linking accounts and FP+ with group arriving 3 days after us

First of all, I want to say I'm looking to play within the rules here - Not looking to circumvent anything.

My brother and his family will be arriving 3 days after us - staying at the same resort. Our accounts are now linked, and we have a couple of ADRs together.

As far as FP+, can I make FP for his party on MY 60-day FP+ day even though they don't check in until a few days later? We'd like to tour together for a couple of days.

I thought from reading the Boards that it was yes, but after talking to IT (about another issue), it was made quite clear it's a hard NO. If I am successful, they said it's possible that my brother's family's FP+ may be cancelled because of this. They mentioned something about an audit. I'm not comfortable risking my brother's family losing FP+

Is there a sticky here about linking accounts like this? Please help me understand how this works.

We (5) arrive on 7/5 at AoA. Two more arrive the same day, but we don’t know where yet. Twelve more arrive at AoA 7/6. All 19 check into OKW and start going to the parks 7/7. My daughter, niece, and I all logged into my account on day 60 from 7/5 and made all of our FP+ choices.

I guess I’ll find out in 20 days whether or not some get cancelled... but I really doubt that they will.

If the 2nd family has NOT booked a room package and has purchased and linked separate tickets, you can book FPs for them. Anyone listed or linked shares your window if they haven’t booked a “room + ticket” package.

You won’t lose any of your booked FPs.

If the 2nd family has NOT booked a room package and has purchased and linked separate tickets, you can book FPs for them. Anyone listed or linked shares your window if they haven’t booked a “room + ticket” package.

This is interesting - The 2nd family has a package booked. I know this because they booked FD with tix, room and dining.
