I have a paper ticket from 2012. I'm not sure which family member used it during our stay. We have 6 days left on it. Can I link that to any family member now on the magic band for our upcoming trip?

Yes.

I posted in a few threads about this based on vague info I read.
Robo you can prob clarify.

I read that Disney "trashed" the finger scans on old NON-expiring tics.

I have a 10 day hopper with 5 days left from approx 09
I signed the back and of course scanned my finger to it originally.

Is it true I can give it to a family member and they can use the remaining days?
This would be poss I assume because with mb, there would be no signature to confirm and only if Disney really trashed the finger scans.

1. Yes.
2. Yes.
3. More likely, since they are now using RFID entry, the first time
the ticket is (re)used (MagicBand or new RFID plastic ticket) for entry,
a new finger-scan will be taken.

Thanks
Saves me from buying another tic for this next trip

Thanks for the information. Do you know what I need to do if I have a paper ticket from 2004. I have 4 days left on it and want to use it on this trip but was told I could only activate and link it to my magic band at guest services when I get there. That would mean I couldn't make my FP reservations ahead of time?? Thanks
