Hi- we are traveling with 5 other families (6 staterooms/12 adults and 12 children). Three of us have sailed before and three haven't, so 3 of us have checked in and the other families will do so in 2 weeks. I asked our travel agent to link all 6 of our reservations so we will all have the same dining rotation and hopefully sit near each other. But I don't think the rooms are linked correctly. I have seen that you can only have 4 rooms linked. When I checked in I saw everyone in our group but when I click on book activities, it tells me I have exceeded the number of linked rooms and when I look at booking Palo I only see myself and my husband, not the others who have booked so far.

We want to make a reservation for 12 at Palo after everyone is paid in full/eligible. So, I guess my question is how do I make sure the rooms are linked correctly so we can do that? I was thinking to link 3 to us and then 3 to one of the families linked to us. But is there a way to book for 12 at Palo? I am fine with 2 reservations for 6 and ask to be seated near each other. We can't be the first large group that wants to be linked/eat at Palo together. I remember this being much easier a couple years ago but we "only' had 3 families on that cruise.

I'd just suggest that each room/reservation book their own Palo reservation. Just tell everyone to try to get close to the same date/time. Then, once onboard, go immediately to where Palo dining changes are handled and ask for all the reservations to be combined.

Failing that - have you looked into the private room at Palo? From the DCL website:
Private Dining
For an even more memorable dining experience, Palo invites you to dine in a private room where you can enjoy:

  • A unique à la carte menu
  • Elegant, Italian inspired décor with seating for up to 14 Guests
To request a reservation, please download the private dining request form, fill it out and attach it in an email to DCL.Cruise.Activities@disney.com.

Thank you! We're definitely looking into the private room option.

Curious about this as well. We'll be sailing with a group of 12 (6 adults) and I'm wondering if we each have to book tastings separately on board or can one of us book for all?

Thanks!

As far as I know one person can sign up for the tastings for several rooms, as long as you have the reservation info.

We had a group of 8 adults in 6 rooms that were all linked. The only way to book Palo online was to have our TA "unlink" our reservations and make 2 separate reservations at Palo - one with 6 adults (in 4 rooms) and one with the remaining 2 adults. Once we got on board, we went to the dining session (they were in Triton's on this particular cruise) and asked that our reservations be combined. We ended up with a private dining room for 8. It was fantastic!

We sent 2 of the adults in our group to book tastings and they were able to do it for all 8 adults in our group. They just needed our room numbers.

We are going on a family cruise in July with 16 people/5 staterooms. We wanted to book Palo for the adults in 4 of the staterooms. Since all five rooms were linked, we could only see the people in one stateroom at a time. Tried to have multiple computers/browsers logged in, one for each reservation. When we all found a time that seemed OK, tried to save them all to our carts, but kept getting an error on some of the reservations that the time was no longer available. I called DCL and eventually they unlinked the 5th stateroom to 10 days. (Our adult son has no interest in eating at Palo). Now that we only had 4 staterooms linked, I was able to make a reservation for the adults in the 4 remaining rooms. I recently logged back in to check something and got the error that I exceeded the limit of 4 linked accounts, so apparently they did re-link my sons account.
