Linked Ressies?

In May we have booked with an AP rate a Friday, Sat. stay in a 1 bedroom at the BWV. The remaining Sun-Wed we will be staying on pts but it is a standard view room.

Will we have to move? I wasn't sure because the resort doesn't distinguish between views while with pts it does.

Can I call MS and get the ressies linked or do I have to just wait until check in to see what can be done?

Since you made the cash ressie through CRO and have a SV on points, there is a real possibility that you will have to move.

All you can do right now is make sure the two ressies are cross-referenced. Call CRO and give the CM your DVC confirmation number and ask to have a note added that you would like to stay in the same room. Then call MS and give the CM the CRO confirmation and ask for the same note to be added to your points reservation.

Ask again at check in. I'm sure they will do their best. If you are lucky, all you will have to do is go to the BW front desk and check out and then back in again between the cash and points reservaiton.

However, you should be prepared to move. CRO cash reservaations are usually assigned to a PV Pool/Garden room due to the popularity of the SV and PV - Boardwalk view rooms. Sometimes, they are able to upgrade a SV party to allow someone else to stay put, but that may not work out.

Thanks Carol. This is what I thought. I am new to DVC so I was hoping I was wrong. Not a big deal though. I'll call now.

Thought I would add this in case anyone else needs this information.

I called MS and they added a comment to my pt ressie, they also told me to call CRO and do the same (just like Carol said ) but they also said I should call the resort 5 days prior to my arrival and let them know as well.

We had the CR on points for five nights. We added a day at the beginning and at the end via CRO for cash. The first night was different from the other six and we had to move.

I bet you will have to move since your cash reservation through CRO will probably be a preferred view.

I hope we don't but if we do it will be fine.

I'll try to remember to respond back after my trip. I am also staying at OKW for 4 nights in a studio and it will be my first time there. I can't wait.

Well we got back yesterday from out trip. We had a great time. I liked OKW and will definetly stay again but still prefer BWV overall. My kids loved the OKW pool and the sandcastle slide. We all enjoyed Olivia's.

As far as the ressie went at BWV, I called as Carol and MS had suggested within 5 days of my check in. The CM at the front desk was very helpful and told me they orginally had me to be checked into a preferred room the first 2 nights. She switched it to a standard view room.

We checked in around 3pm on Friday and a standard room was ready so we didn't have to switch. We got room 3121 which I thought had a good view. It overlooked the bridge at the front entrance. We could see fireworks from our balcony except most were obstructed by a very large tree. It was one of the long balconies.

The room was in okay shape. There was definetly some wear. There was water damage on the wall near the shower. The plaster was seperating.

Something happened to our bedroom door and the door handle got broken and locked. We really have no idea what happened. The kids swear they did nothing to it (4 and 2) and I couldn't really figure out what they could have done. Anyway we called maintence and they came and fixed it the same day.

Other than that our stay was awesome. I thought the view was great.
