Linked MNSSHP to Magic Bands...is that going to be a problem

Just recently read that people are experiencing problems if they had linked their hard ticket for MNSSHP to their Magic Bands. Apparently it may or may not cause one of your park days to be used for admission if you had not visited another park earlier in the day. We will be going to a water park that morning prior to the MNSSHP on the 18th. Attempted to unlink the MNSSHP ticket from the Magic Band but the only option is to reassign the ticket to another of the members of my party. Any advice or experience?
