Hi All

Has anyone used this recently? We would love to use vroom, but only have virgin flights as we booked through Thomas Cook, so I don't think we are allowed. Usually we travel to Gatwick the night before, but as we are on the 1pm flight, we thought we would save some money and chance it on the day, but leave home very early, just to be safe.

I have just done a quote and it came to £64.00 for 3 adults and 1 child which inc complimentary bar, snacks, tv, playstation and a runway view. Is it worth it and could we use the snacks as breakfast? I have not considered a lounge before, but this is the first time we are travelling with DMIL and she has quite bad arthritis, I am hoping that it will help her relax before the flight.

Any tips and info welcome as always

Thanks Loads
Suzanne

I have never been in this particular lounge but as a family are a fan of airport lounges.

I like the fact that you have a nice quiet place to chill before a flight and anything that distracts the kids from the excitement level mounting is a plus for me!!

I also find it saves us money as it puts a stop to the constant can we have??
So big thmbs up to the idea from me :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 bt like I said no experience of the particular longe o have mentioned so hopefully someone else will be along to tell you details of that lounge.

That lounge is pretty nice. They have snacks and the little boxes of cornflakes etc as well as coffee, tea and a free bar.

Okay for a light breakfast but not if you are expecting the full thing.

They have a separate glassed off area for the children with a playstation in it and there is free wifi/newspapers and a tv.

Windows all down the one side and the end give a view of the runway and some of the stands.

It can vary between very peaceful to quite crowded depending on the number of flights/delays etc - usually thouigh its alot quieter than the airport itself.

Whether its worth it or not cant really answer as it depends on the individual - I would say yes - particularly if you are going to be there for a while before your flight is called.
