It depends. If DH bought me lingerie I would be thrilled. If 2 of my best female friends bought me lingerie I would be ok with it. Anyone else I would feel highly uncomfortable with it.

All other circumstances, if someone gave me lingerie, I'd take it as a hint that they want to see me in it!

hmmm, if it's committed ok but if not a woman could take it as meaning it's the only view of her you are interested in seeing. Maybe you mean it that way maybe not, its not a bad thing if you mean it this way just know this is how it might be taken. If you want her to know you think more of her than just the lingerie then you might want to avoid the potential downside of the issue and go with something else.

You just reminded me of the old Sheena Easton song "Strut"... it could end badly but it depends upon the individual.
