Our first trip is coming up in early May. As we are staying at CT and will have our tickets, what can we expect in the way of lines to get into the park at opening time? Does it move quickly or are there 1000's of people lined up to get in. should we get there early or wait 30 minutes? Would love to hear your experiences! :flower: Many thanks to all you experts who have all the answers!!!

Get to the parks about 15-20 minutes ahead of opening time. Stay to the left. Remember that even though people may be lined up, look for the shortest line...or NO line...all gates are open.

Also - any idea what it might be like if you get to the parks 20-30 minutes after park opens? THANKS!

Which park specifically about going to after opening (or was it a generic question)

Thanks

Is there a certain place you need to go if you have strollers with you? Right or left, etc.?

You're going to need to go through security first w/ any bags (this includes camera cases, diaper bags, ect). If you have multiple people in your party. The adults w/ the bags can go through security while another adult w/ the kids can go on ahead. Just be sure there are no bags in the stroller basket-- as you'll be going to the back of the security line :) . Then you'll all be able to go through the turnstiles w/ your tickets together. Look for the open ones-- as so many times there's a lot w/ 10 person long lines. Then there's one just a few down w/ nobody going through.

I went in November and followed the advice from one of the planning books. I was there when the gate opened, and headed straight to the RIGHT. I rode Buzz Lightyear, the Indy cars, Snow White, Winnie the Pooh, and Mickey's Philharmonic within the first hour! Then it really started getting crowded, but I had already ridden a lot of the Fantasyland rides before the kids got there. From what I experienced, a lot of kids sleep in a bit before their parents get them up for MK. So hit the ground running. I also found this true at AK and at EPCOT. :earsgirl:

EXCELLENT QUESTION - WAS THINKING THE SAME THING!! Don't want to hijack your question, but, would love to hear what people think our experinece will be if we get to the MK at 7:30/7:45 during Easter week when MK will be opening at 7 AM.
