Line Cutting

I'm curious... have you ever been in a line (and let's think about the 40min+ lines at WDW) with a child that all of a sudden "HAS to go"? Or are you simply saying "In the future, when/if that happens to me... "?

Yes, its happened to us. And like I said, you either hold it, or you get out of line, do what you have to do, and then either get in the back on the line again, or skip that attraction till a later time.

READ lady.. I am NOT talking about a child in my post.. I am talking about ME. I am 54 years old.. not a child.. and if I have to pee, I am going to pee.. I will not push my way thru, if I cannot get to my party, I will get a CM to escort me to them.. not to worry about that ;) Would you rather me pee when I hit a bump on the ride?

You are so correct in stating you cannot have your cake and eat it too. We all make personal choices.. Your choices are yours and mine are mine. As long as I am not interfering with someones wait time, I am not line cutting. If your choice is to leave the line and not get back on, then so be it, go for it, but don't tell me to do it. You cannot tell me that I cannot join my party, only a CM can tell me that. They usually don't do that, they will actually help you get to them when needed. Gee.. maybe I should get a GAC so I can get on and off the line to use the potty? It is medical reason?! Then you cannot say anything as I leave and come back! Just food for thought.
On a good note, I am glad to hear that your FIL is doing good :goodvibes I am not a mean person, just one who when she has to go.. has to go and will go.. and then go back to her party...

Sheesh - I did READ and like I said, if it were my child, or even myself.... maybe you need to read posts yourself before you attack others. And if you want to get a CM to guide you back to your "spot" then great. However, this is not what was being discussed. What was being discussed was people walking themselves back to where they feel they should be.

We've had the same experience many times. Although I've also never encountered anyone upset that we had to leave and come back nor get mad that we were trying to catch up to DH and the kids. I don't have an entitlement attitude though so maybe that's why no one got mad? ;)

I have never had a problem at Disney, nor Universal. Universal there have been times where the lines were long & I could not even see my party anymore, so I would just stand by the TM until I would see my party and the TM would let me in at that point. (That is when I got off the line & had to rejoin).

that is a good question.. ... or when she is on a line and she has a weak bladder when she gets older, will she get off the line.. when she has to stop every hour.. will she send her party ahead or make them wait outside every pit stop.. some cannot see it unless they are doing it.. and not as she stated in her post with her FIL.. I live 3 hours from Disney and go often, which means when I my kids are with me, or any of my friends, it isn't once in a blue moon.. it is many many times a year.. am I to have them wait every single time I stop :confused3 when you walk in the shoes.. then you comment..
and yes, children cannot hold it, children have meltdowns and need to get off the line for a little bit and rejoin their family.. walk in the shoes then state we are wrong... we aren't saying jump the ropes, or sneak under the bars.. we are not line cutting.. this in not the same thing... it is not going to effect her wait time one way or another... just gets her mad that someone is walking past her.. and she cannot understand why...

How do you know what shoes I (or anyone else) walk in? :confused3

Ok, now you are arguing semantics.

The issue is essentially the same, CM escorting someone or not.

So, since Disney has no issue with it, there is no reason to be obtuse about it.

I've just had a fantastic idea, could make me a fortune.

Judging by how many would block someone from passing them in line, no matter what the reason is, I'm going to create a clothing line with a "Line Police" theme!!! :thumbsup2

Shirts, sweaters, jackets, arm bands, head bands, caps, you name it. If you buy for your whole family, there'll be a "Line Police Family" discount and matching, customized, family Buttons/pins. :thumbsup2

I'mm gonna be rich.

I think I'll even comission a Line Police Theme song so ya'll can play it when action is required. :cool1:

:rotfl::lmao: Please, let me invest in that!!

well I guess then we can agree to disagree.. :goodvibes, I don't see it as cutting. If I am a party of say 4, my "party" will take 2 cars up on a ride that holds 2 in each car.. so if I am on line at that minute or not, it will not effect how fast you get on that ride.. ;) therefore, I am not cutting in front of you.. just joining my party.....:upsidedow

:thumbsup2

I'd just like to point out getting out of line to use the bathroom is OK w/CM's if not "officially" by Disney. Don't believe me?

We were in line for Jungle Cruise 10 days ago (so VERY recent). My dad (60+) had to "go". He ducked into the FP line and exited to use the bathroom. The rest of our family stayed in the standby line. Imagine our surprise when we saw him standing where the FP & standby lines meet!

The CM "guarding" the FP line saw him leave to go to the bathroom and TOLD him to come back through and he'd let him go to catch up. So that's what he did. He was chatting up a storm with CM's while waiting for us.

So, huh... I guess not only does Disney NOT keep people from catching up to their party, they actually HELP! What does that tell you?

That is true, I have seen it happen before with other people and they did it for my aunt when she took her grandbaby to use the potty while we were in line. A CM escorted her and my little cousin back to us.

So it does seem that alot of people are trying to be "Line Police" and make thier own rules and standards and then say they dont feel "entitled".
If you dont fel entitled quit trying to make the rules up as you go just because it annoyes you
