Line cutters, what would you do?

We were waiting in line for the bus at Typhoon Lagoon. There was a huge line. It was VERY hot. We had our 2 yr old DS in a stroller. We saw the
bus coming. We started to get our DS out of the stroller. As we collaped
the stroller people ran around us and got on the bus. We had to wait for the
next bus. Ok, this time well be faster.

We couldnt keep DS out of the stroller. He was 2, very tired and crabby but still able and willing to run away.

Again the bus is coming, we collapse the stroller. We are trying to get the kids, stroller and a few bags on the bus. People are STILL running around us!
I cannot believe it! We were not being slow. I was telling our DSs to get on
the bus. The crowd was running them over! I yelled, "WE are in line!"
A young lady in her 20s without children yelled at me, "Calm down lady we are
all getting on the bus!"

I was so mad. I was thinking someone better call the cops cuz Im gonna kick her @$$!

We are driving this December so well have a car. Never again will we use
disney transportation!

Hey Eveyone..just needed to vent and hear your opinion on what you would do. I was at MNSSHP on the 19th with 5 other friends. We got in line early to get our faces painted, when we got on line there was about 12 people ahead of us.No problem. As we get closer about 3 people ahead of us a Mother with her two friends and their 2 girls are on line. All of a sudden 7 more girls came running cutting the line, and she was still waiting for one more. I said to her Maam there is a line. She snaps at me "excuse me but my husband was standing there on line. OK well if he was standing there then it should be for one spot not 10. I said well we all have to wait on line and you dont see me standing here by myself holding 5 spots. and she says.."yeah well you should" GRRRRRRRRRRRRR yes so what I am 21. i paid for this party too and waited patiently on line. We were almost next and i hear her say to her friend." can you believe that girl had the nerve to say that to me?, i can cut anyone i want. :furious: i was shaking and my heart was pumping. I was going to go up to the cast members and tell them what was happening. But knowing the nerve of this woman she would have gone straight the guest relations and complained about the CM. i underdtood they cant say maam get your kids on line. Theres not much a Cm can do and i didnt want them to get into trouble. Its even sadder that the kids are learning this type of behavior and the womans friends did nothing about it.Parents put yourselves in other people shoes dont do onto others what you would not want done to you. What would you all have done? I would love to hear everyones thoughts on this.
all i can say is what a **** *****!

We went to a water park this summer with our kids and some friends. We waited in line a long time and as we got closer I saw a family behind us creep in front of us. I was mad but never made an issue about it. At the top of the line that family next, the son starts to board the ride and the dad says "this family was ahead of us let them go 1st" WOW I was so suprised.

I do hate line cutters but just wanted to add my postive because nice people still are out there !!! :cheer2:

I get so upset with adults teaching children their own bad habits. Children learn so much by the examples they are shown. That's why it will keep on happening....not only are these children not told to use manners and follow rules, they watch their parents making wrong choices. I usually stretch my arms across railings when I feel people are going to try to cut in line. This way, they would have to ask me to move so they could cut us in line. I think maybe Disney could post signs at rides, attractions, etc. that have slow moving, one-person-at-a-time lines, that no holding spots will be tolerated and enforce the rule. If your child needs to use the restroom that badly, the Dumbo or the face painting will have to wait. It is simply not fair to good mannered, rule abiding people to have one moment in that magical place ruined by those who don't not embrace the true spirit of Disney. :wizard:

I wouldn't like it, but I'd probably just ignore it and try go on enjoying my visit. When you can fix something, do so. When you can't, don't let it bother you. It sounds like the cutting cost you a few minutes but your anger cost you a lot of enjoyment. You can't always control the cutting, but you can control your emotions.

We were there for a couple of weeks in January, and I don't think we dealt with any line cutters, so the outlook isn't entirely bleak!

:furious: Unfortunately I live in New York, land of the impatient, inventors of the drive up the shoulder and cut someone off maneuver, home of the people that actually HONK at you when you fully stop at a stop sign. The mentality is that they are clearly more important than you and should not have to wait for anything or anyone.

We had a line cutting incident last week at AK EMH...What is with people! Would it kill you to stand on line and set a good example for your kids??

We had this happen on our last trip and we were so mad. We had a double and a single stroller to collpase. I was trying to juggle three kids while my dh was rushing to get the strollers closed. We started getting everything ready before the bus got there but people ran past us and almost knocked me down! :furious: We had waited out turn for about 7 buses. We were so mad that it was fianlly our turn and people were stampeding us. It was beyond rude. We should vacation together and if anyone ever tries that we could form a wall!!! princess:

We practically had to do something like that once. We were waiting for a car rental shuttle in Tampa. We were there alone for about 10 minutes with a toddler, car seat, stroller, etc. Then another similarly situation family showed up. The 20 minutes later several groups showed up. Then a few minutes later the woefully undersized rental shuttle showed up. It was immediately obvious that the late arriving groups with no kids were going to stampede on and take over the shuttle. I jumped into the door way and pretty much shouted that we and the other family were here first, had called for the shuttle, and would be boarding the shuttle first. I'm not even slightly intimidating, but people quickly understood the situation and no one fussed at all. Sometimes people are rude and inconsiderate out of ignorance rather than malice.

A couple of weeks ago while in WDW for our first family trip we encountered this. After waiting in line approx. 15 minutes for It's a Small World a man, woman and small daughter went under the chain right BESIDE me (where the line loops a corner)and DS7 and then proceeded to jump in front of us! They didn't even try to stay behind us. They just acted like if they didn't make eye contact then no one saw then do it. Well, I could tell the woman was embarrassed because she kindof glanced back at me while her (foreign) husband kept mumbling (in thier native language I assume) 'keep going' and waving her on. I say I assume because when she hesitated he switched to English and that is what he said. I just shook my head at her disapprovingly each time she would look at me. At least she knew it was wrong but she sure didn't apologize or go to the back. I got a rough count of the line and they cut in front of at least 50 people; thereby saving themselves about 15 or 20 minutes of wait. I guess foreign people with Gucci sunglasses really ARE better than the rest of us. *Nothing against foreigners, by the way... just rude people in general. *

While we were waiting to see Mickey in the Judges tent a little boy ran pass us and about 30 others all the way to the front of the line, and then 10 adults followed him. At first it looked like maybe he was running off and they were trying to catch him. Not the case. Turned out to be a tricky way for all of them to cut in line.

I find That kind of cutting happens often to me especially on Pirates and Thunder mountain (I'm not sure why those two especially though). Wasn't there a episode of the Simsons where Bart and Lisa tried to cut like this?

I do this this too, if someone is bold enough to say "excuse me" I straight out ask them why they would like me to move? This is a line.

Sometimes I find that if you are standing up for someone else it makes more of an impact, so if I see someone taking advatage of someone else I speak up. :goodvibes

For the life of me, I don't know why Disney doesn't post this at the entrance, and print it on the ticket receipts. I know it's bad manners to assume that your guests will misbehave and warn them otherwise, but Disney doesn't screen its guests the way one would do at one's house.
