Linda's goal = Lose wt + 1/2 marathon 09(encouragement welcome)

Hi Linda!

Wow! You've been putting up some great paced numbers there!! Way to go!!! I'm with Amy in believing that wind is the toughest condition to run in for sure, so awesome job!

Hope the weekend was a good one

Hi, Linda. You are doing SO great with the exercise. I can only DREAM of being as fast as you are, and I think you would do great in a 5K. You seem to have boundless energy and you will continue to see the weight drop with all the exercise. WAY TO GO!!!

Susan

Hi Linda! Great job on these runs! Congrat on the new shoes! Glad you like them!!! They can be so expensive!!!

Hope you have a good day!

I am hoping to run my 6 miles before turkey today, that is the plan anyway. I am down 18 lbs. finally below 160!
It must be pretty warm out, it is very foggy.
Have a great day everyone,
Linda

Well only did 3.1 instead. It is all I had in me this am. Fog not too motivating.A 10:05 pace-will I ever get below 10:00???????? I seem to be stuck at this pace.

Oh well now I can eat ;)
Linda

CONGRATS on the weight loss Linda! You have to be so proud of that :).

And getting out there in the fog...gosh...wasn't it AWFUL today. It was like pea soup! Just getting those miles in on a holiday is a HUGE accomplishment. You'll get below 10 in no time at all. I'm sure of it :).

Have a great day!

Hi Linda!

Just following Amy around here and wishing you and your loved ones a very Happy Thanksgiving!!

You will break that 10 minute barrier for sure...just keep plugging away, you've done such a good job!

And now that you've got that run in, you can "feast out" and not feel guilty!!

Hi Linda,

Great job running in the fog. I personally don't like not seeing where I am going, so you did awesome.

Congratulations on the weightloss, and breaking into the 150's!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Take care,
Beth

What a dreary day-:( This am I ran 6 miles in 63:51 a 10:38 pace. I ordered Runner's World from my DDs fundraiser at school. I hope this will keep me motivated during the winter.

We are looking at treadmills since mine is in a 1000 pieces.Anyone have any suggestions? We like the Horizon models at Dicks.

Have a great day- Hope it is sunny where you all are,
Linda

Hi, Linda! Congratulations on getting in the runs even in bad, dreary weather. No sun here, but Atlanta needs the rain so badly that we really can't complain! I am hoping to start training for the 5K at Disney in May pretty soon, and I am going to have to train in the elements, too, so I am going to remember you out there running when I don't want to go out because it's raining, too hot, too cold, etc. Thanks for the great example!

Have a good evening!

Susan

Hi Linda! Great job on getting your runs in! Congrats on the weight loss!!! You're doing great!!!

I can't offer much on treadmills. We got ours 2nd hand from craig's list. Hope you find what you're looking for!

Just came in from my 6 miles and I did it in 61:21,a 10:13 pace. I really can't believe that since my right foot was absolutely killing me under my toes. I wonder how I really would have done if I could have run normal.

My sneakers came from a specialty running shop, I am going to try to return them today.

Love the sun here, hope everyone is well,
Linda

Solid 6 miles there Linda! Keep up the great work!!!

I did it! I am so psyched! Under a 10 min mile-3.1 miles today in 29:38, a 9:33 pace-WOOHOO!

On my run today I encountered a neighbor who was walking her dog, saw me coming and instead of pulling the dog to the side with the leash she let him stay there- I either had to jump it or limbo it, I decided to limbo it! Don't mess with my time lady- MOVE IT!!!!!

Now time for the elliptical- I have not done that for a while, need upper body work.

Have a great weekend everyone,
Linda

Congrats on breaking the 10:00 mile! Awesome job. BTW, your neighbor sounds obnoxious.

Take care,
Beth

Well I thought today was going to be a wash out because our roads are still covered with ice and snow.I figured I would do what I could do and be happy with that, just getting out there.I even left my watch at home. As I was running having to keep the pace slower than normal, because it was icy in spots,I realized I did not have any difficulty with my breathing at this pace at all, just a comfortable run. When I was at my 6 mile mark I was not tired so I kept going. I ran 10 miles today and I can't believe it.It is a nice day out considering it is only 30 and Dec.4th.I did check the clock in the kithchen as soon as I came to the house and based on that I ran for 1hr52 mins.,a 11:11 pace, hard to tell but the pace was pretty good for running on those road conditions. Came in and iced my legs and had a banana now, ibuprofen time.

Hope everyone is having a great day,
Linda
