Linda's goal = Lose wt + 1/2 marathon 09(encouragement welcome)

Hey there! I have gotten back on track, care to join me? You probably already have :) After a month and a half hiatus I am back running. I did a Boilermaker "test" run yesterday (6.76 miles) and managed that fine so I am going to sign up for the 15 K this Wednesday, committing myself to the training and eating plan that will ensue. You are doing great with your times, I am hoping to get under 10 minute miles by the time I run the half marathon in January. That is probably about the time I will have lost enough weight to accomplish that. Keep up the good work, you are doing AWESOME!
 
Linda, we are all here for you, albeit a little busier than normal (at least I am!!). I took most of May off after CMM but I am back at it again now. Time to start the journey again!! :yay:

Did 3.17 miles today in 32:48, a 10:20 pace.Alot of stretching and Advil after. I will ice later. Need to go get a haircut now.

So far so good! I hope it continues!!!!

Today did 3.17 miles again( the route back home just = this distance) in 32:00, a 10:05 pace.

Now for Advil, stretching and ice.

It is already 70 here! WOOHOO! Gotta love it.

3.4 miles today around the resevoir in 34:18, a 10:05 pace.I was happy with that- 3 days sraight and the foot is not worse so I'll take it.

After went for a 40 min walk with a friend.

Last weight= 165

Did 3.1 miles in 31:39,a 10:12 pace.Then right into the pool.

Today did 3.26 miles in 33:05,a 10:08 pace.

After that went and played tennis for an hr.with DH- great workout, he is alot better than me!

Hi, Linda! So glad I found your WISH journal. Your workouts are wonderful! Great job on the running. Have you decided on whether you will follow a "plan" to train for January's half? Will you do any endurance races in the interim?
 
Ran 3.1 today in 31:06, a 10:01 pace.

Had a brain storm today and figured out how to loosen my calves for my PF. I am using my Shiatsu pillow that is supposed to be for neck and shoulders- OMG! It is working wonders.I did not realize my calves were so tight.

Great idea! I'm glad that you found something that will help stretch out your calf muscles. :goodvibes My calf muscles used to tighten up during gymnastics season and that was not fun at times. :scared:
