My parents (senior citizens) are going to WDW in a few weeks and staying at BWV. My father does as little driving as possible so they need transport from MCO to BWV.

The last few times they used a limo from MCO to BWV. They stopeed to pick up a few food items to stock their fridge, but not a whole lot of stuff. My father asked why shouldn't they take Mears instead of a Limo this trip? The cost would be considerably less and they figure they can run down to the gift shop to pick up their juice and milk.

Can anyone give me any reason to push for a limo vs Mears? He may have a point.

Thanks....

I would pick Magical Express. Free is always good and they could use that extra money to use wegoshop or pick up some supplies at the gift shop.

Can you take Magical Express if you are a DVC member and staying in a DVC property? I didn't think so.... please tell me I'm wrong!

Yes you can do this with DVC. I suggest asking for details on the DVC planning board here on the DIS.

I never thought I'd hear myself recommending MEARS to anyone, but it sounds like their situation doesn't call for any real time frame and they don't mind when they arrive, so why not?? Personally we'd never do the MEARS again, but we do mind the endless hassle and uncertain arrival times. Go for it--maybe their experience will change their mind one way or the other for the next time. :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl:

I did some figuring the other day. For my trip in June with my nephew, using a www.sunraytransportation.com and stoping for breakfast foods and bottled water, we would save at least $30. Picking stuff up at the resort can be more expensive and I'd rather pick out my own food than use a service that does it for you. I'm particular. Plus we have a hassle free start to our vacation. Like most car services, they meet you right at the bottom of the escalator, help with your luggage, make your grocery stop, and take you straight to your hotel. That would definitely be my choice.

DME works fine. Have your parents use the yellow, bar coded, luggage tags. Your parents can skip baggage claim and Disney will deliver their bags directly to their room.
